We sat down with Alexz Johnson and chatted about her long-standing career, where she’s at right now, and how her fans have been incredible. We also are obsessed with her new album, Seasons, and have it on repeat!
The Interview
You may have heard of Alexz from the early 2000s when she was on Disney’s So Weird or N’s Instant Star. But if you haven’t, we have a treat for you! Alexz was a joy to talk to and we loved learning more about her new album, how the premise of Seasons came to be, her upcoming tour, and how being an independent artist might be more difficult than having the backing of a label, but is so worth it.
‘Ain’t That The Way’ is one of our favorite songs off of the album and just so happened to spearhead the entire premise of the album. The soulfulness of Alexz’s vocals, along with the beautiful backing track takes us through the journey of realizing life is just a series of ups and downs.
