We’d call this one a disco of dreams. Infused with a pulsing, captivating beat there’s something about ‘Midnight Dreams’ that’s just so danceable! As the leading track of the album, we’re immediately submerged into the world Ellie has spun for us, ready to take everything in. It’s no wonder the visualizer features Ellie effortlessly drifting around under the water.
‘Waiting For It’
A love song of sorts, but more the tragic and twisted variety, ‘Waiting For It’ talks about waiting so long for that special person. When you find them, you get so tangled up that it becomes almost like an addiction. We can relate, Ellie. This song and this album are like an addiction, too. The visualizer plays on a constant loop, much like it can feel like waiting for that love to come. Replaying moments, feeling like you’re on a cycle, and making the same bad choices over and over and over again!
‘Better Man’
In a video full of rapid visuals and bright colors, this empowering anthem breathes life into her album just as it breathes life into the listeners. With lines all about taking back her confidence, Ellie calls us all to do the same. ‘Better Man’ does a fantastic job of putting her lyricism on display. Penning phrases like, “Soft as a shadow and strong as a drink I like,” she talks about finding that balance. It’s okay to have a gentler side while still being tough as nails. You can’t have one without the other!
