Have you heard? SKIMS has collaborated with four of the top female rising stars for their new campaign. Spoiler: it is everything! Ice Spice, PinkPantheress, RAYE, and Nessa Barrett are the fresh faces of the brand’s latest shapewear collection, and we don’t think there could have been more perfect choices. Bringing together the most powerful upcoming voices in the industry, SKIMS has found a way to connect to a diverse audience promoting confidence, beauty, class, and style.

About The Campaign

SKIMS recently posted their thirty-second trailer introducing us to their stunning new shapewear and even more stunning new spokesmodels. Ice Spice, PinkPantheress, RAYE, and Nessa each take turns telling us why they love their shapewear and what it means to them. Whether it’s for comfort or to find freedom in wearing what they want, there’s a piece of shapewear for everyone, every day, and every look!

We could rave about SKIMS for days. However, we’d rather tell you a little more about these incredible artists. While serving face, obviously, each is poised and radiates a fierce energy we can feel through the screen. Their unique personas mesh together as seamlessly as the shapewear itself, proving why they’re set to be the style and music icons of this generation!

Meet Ice Spice

Ice Spice is a 23-year-old artist from New York, and we’d bet you’ve seen her everywhere! We’d even go as far as to say 2023 is the year of Ice Spice (Not that we’d complain!) Since her rise to fame, she has been unapologetically herself, capturing the hearts of her fans with her music and her personality. Already considered one of rap’s newest shining lights, she has no signs of slowing down yet.

Of course, an Ice Spice playlist wouldn’t be complete without ‘Princess Diana’ with Nicki Minaj but that’s not all. If you’re wanting to get the true Ice Spice vibe, make sure you add ‘Bikini Bottom’ and ‘Name Of Love’ into your rotation.

Meet PinkPantheress

PinkPantheress is a 22-year-old British artist who is making waves. Finding viral success on TikTok, she later released her debut mixtape to hell with it in October 2021. She’s continued to gain praise and recognition, solidifying herself as a musical force after winning the BBC Sound Of 2022 poll which is voted on by critics and prominent industry leaders. Needless to say, she caught their attention in a big way, and she’s not letting go.

Earlier this year she released ‘Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2’ with fellow campaign star Ice Spice and it has been stuck in our heads ever since! That’s not her only bop, though. You can stream her whole discography on Spotify, but we recommend ‘Passion,’ ‘All my friends know,’ and ‘Where you are’ featuring Willow to get you started!

Meet RAYE

RAYE is a 25-year-old British singer/songwriter who first made a name for herself in 2016 after she featured on ‘By Your Side’ with Jonas Blue. She has since released her mini-album Euphoric Sad Songs in 2020 and her debut solo album My 21st Century Blues in early 2023. That’s not where her talents end, though. RAYE has also written for several iconic voices like Ellie Goulding, John Legend, Beyonce, and more!

Looking to have your own RAYE streaming party? We’ve got you covered. A few of our favorites are ‘Hard Out Here,’ ‘Love Me Again,’ and ‘Black Mascara.’ RAYE is not only a spectacular vocalist but a creative, innovative lyricist. She has the ability to tell stories that stick with you, making you feel a multitude of emotions at once. ‘Ice Cream Man’ is the perfect example. A raw and heartwrenching single, we dare you not to fall in love with RAYE after listening.

Meet Nessa Barrett

Nessa Barrett is a 20-year-old artist hailing from New Jersey. Her music journey started with the release of her debut single ‘Pain’ in 2020 followed up by her first EP Pretty Poison in the Fall of 2021. Although she got her start on TikTok, Nessa has quickly made a name for herself as a true artist, songwriter, and more. A vocal mental health advocate, many of her songs focus on tough issues making her a role model amongst her fans.

Her debut album young forever was released in October 2022 and she recently finished the US leg of her first headlining tour. If you’ve never heard Nessa’s music before we’d recommend ‘lovebomb,’ ‘die first,’ or her most recent single ‘BANG BANG!’ which is a real crowd pleaser! Then you’ll be all caught up in time for the release of ‘American Jesus’ coming out on April 28th. We swear this girl never takes a break!
