As swifties ourselves, we’ve been anxiously awaiting April 19th, the release date of The Tortured Poets Department, and Taylor has just given us another surprise only six days before release. Previously, she has released five playlists via Apple Music and assigned her songs to a stage of grief in anticipation of her upcoming album. With that, she’s now doing a word scramble, one word a day until release day, hidden in the lyrics of her songs exclusively on Apple Music. We have nine guesses of what Taylor Swift’s phrase might be!

Since the last word should be arriving with TTPD, in theme with the album we think Taylor may call a meeting to order. The meeting would of course, be streaming The Tortured Poet’s Department together!

Considering the stages of grief playlists, she may play into the “acceptance” part and absolve her feelings. Whatever she expresses in this album might be the last of it and it could be her way of publically stating that!

In this context, the files would be the songs and would be another way for her to formally declare the release of the album. If you ask us, it just sounds like a Taylor Swift phrase!

Not only are we in our Tortured Poet’s era, but as we mentioned we’re also in our acceptance era. Taylor has already expressed what she needed to with this album and it could be the end of those feelings, but we’re with her even if it’s not!

Similar to the second and fourth guess we made, this phrase would insinuate Taylor publically freeing herself with this album. Letting whatever feelings are released in this album, be left with it.

One thing THP has in common with Taylor Swift? We both love a little play on words. ‘Guilty As Sin’ is one of the tracks on the album, so with the formal language being used a sentencing seems fitting.

Now we’re not saying Taylor is retiring from music but she may retire as chairman to enter a new era! It might be a little bit early for that but we know she’s full of surprises.

Yes, it’s basic but sometimes Taylor puts her easter eggs in plain sight! Looking at you, Lover album name teaser… Anyways, it would make sense since you know, it would be release day.

Perhaps, since the announcement we’ve all been in a metaphorical meeting and we’ll be adjourned to listen to the album? We love Taylor’s brain but we may truly never understand it, this is just us trying.
