It’s time for another Honey POP! exclusive premiere, and this time we have possibly one of the best yet with ‘Nobody’s Tired’ by Clara Lars! ‘Nobody’s Tired’ marks a new era for Clara. And what better time for a new era than during your 18th year? We also might not have stopped listening to her debut EP Illusions since it was released in 2020… but that doesn’t mean we aren’t foaming at the mouth over this!
Clara may have released her debut EP when she was 16, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t make waves in the scene. With songs earning their way onto Spotify editorial playlists, to landing on SiriusXM and MTV’s respective channels. This 100% means we’re losing it over what Clara Lars is about to accomplish with ‘Nobody’s Tired.’
“I wrote ‘Nobody’s Tired’ about feeling overwhelmed. I was reading Henry David Thoreau, and he talks a lot about moving to the woods and living off the lay of the land; ‘Nobody’s Tired’ is about wanting to move to an island (“Talk to my fears like a friend/Sell them for money and buy an island”). I thought “There’s so much work, I’m tired of city life, what if I just moved to an island and ditched everything and everyone?”

Not only does Clara have an insane lyrical talent, but she also co-produces most of her music. We love a queen who is so deeply invested in every part of her work. Not only that, but our Queen Clara Laras also considers ‘Nobody’s Tired,’ and her other upcoming release, to be completely different from her previous works on Illusions.
Many of the songs on the EP came during the worst parts of the pandemic. With Illusions, I had been isolated for so long, stuck with my thoughts and emotions. I wrote these new songs on the flip side, when there was so much happening in my life. That was my fuel.

‘Nobody’s Tired’ is a song that makes you feel lighter as you listen to it, and that was truthfully Clara’s goal with the track. She wanted it to be freeing to listen to, but it was also important to Clara that the song still showcased just how overwhelming life can be. And if we’re being so honest as well, ‘Nobody’s Tired’ makes us feel incredibly seen.
We also can’t deny that the more we learn about Clara, the more we want to be her best friend and biggest fan. All of her works begin organically on the piano, which she’s played since childhood might we add! Knowing that she just sits down, hits record on an audio note, and lets it flow is insane to us. Some people truly were meant to be stars, and Clara Lars is one of them!
