The voice of a generation is giving us a behind-the-scenes glimpse into her life, artistry, and strength. And we’re SAT. I AM: Celine Dion is set to premiere on Prime Video on June 25th. In her new, vulnerable documentary, “The Queen of Power Ballads” is taking us on her road to recovery after being diagnosed with a life-changing illness, and, let us tell you, the trailer has us in tears!
I AM: Celine Dion Trailer
My voice is the conductor of my life. – Celine Dion
Make sure you tune in to see exactly why Celine Dion wears the crown among female vocalists. You can even share your excitement with #IAmCelineDion! In the meantime, allow us to remind you why she’ll always be the queen of our hive.
‘The Power of Love’
Kicking off the list on a high note (pun intended,) this one will strike our Gen X and Millennial bees right in the feels. If you were a kid in the 90s, then you vividly remember being woken up violently at 2 am to the sound of Celine Dion and ‘The Power of Love’ in the late-night advertisements for love song compilation albums. Jolting awake to the line, “‘Cause I’m your lady, and you are my man.” is a canon event.
‘It’s All Coming Back To Me Now’
If you haven’t added this one to your heartbreak playlist, allow this to be your sign. We can personally endorse screaming ‘It’s All Coming Back to Me Now’ at the top of your lungs will be one of the most therapeutic experiences. Bonus points if it’s a rainy night! This song went double platinum in the United States back in 1996, but we promise it went quadruple in our bedrooms.
‘That’s The Way It Is’
Sometimes, all you can say is, ‘That’s The Way It Is.’ At least, that’s been our motto since this 1999 hit. Coming to us before the turn of the new millennium, Celine Dion reminded us that all that we can’t give up on our faith and love will come to those who believe. We have no choice but to stan a motivational icon, especially in the wake of I AM: Celine Dion!
‘I Drove All Night’
We may not have Celine Dion level vocals, but we’re guilty of busting out our own rendition of ‘I Drove All Night.’ A fun, upbeat drive (okay, pun intended this time) away from her heartwrenching ballads, this was an inescapable radio hit in 2003! Whether you’re making a quick coffee run or on a road trip with your girls, crank it up!
‘My Heart Will Go On’
Don’t worry, we didn’t forget the classic! Even if you’ve never seen Titanic (and if you haven’t, shame!), you’ve heard ‘My Heart Will Go On.’ Celine made this one a pop culture phenomenon… even if she hadn’t fully intended to. Fun fact: she recorded the demo in one take, and it was flawless. That’s queen energy!
We’ve always known Celine Dion is the icon, the legend, and the moment. But let us know what you think! Will you be watching I AM: Celine Dion? Let us know in the comments, or find us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter @thehoneypop!
