The Driver Era’s Show In Los Angeles Was Better Than A ‘Fantasy’

With less than a week’s notice, Los Angeles natives The Driver Era announced a pop-up hometown show and we were front and center! Rocky and Ross Lynch haven’t been on a proper tour since the Girlfriends Tour in 2022 and we were NOT going to miss this show! There have been way too many new TDE singles that we have been itching to hear live. They kicked off the night with ‘Touch,’ an unreleased song. And that was just the start – The boys would go on to sing several more unreleased songs throughout the night, as well as some of their top hits.

It didn’t take long before the confetti cannons went off and we were showered in white confetti for ‘Nobody Knows!’ The crowd was hyped, the band was hyped, we even saw that the venue staff was hyped. Who wouldn’t be?!

‘Rumors’ and ‘Preacher Man’ were on our list of songs we wanted to hear live for the first time, and that’s exactly what we got. We even got a tiny little cover of Destiny’s Child’s ‘Say My Name!’ When we tell you our jaws were ON THE FLOOR and we weren’t even a third of the way through yet.

We’d also like to give an honorable mention shoutout to Riker Lynch, who was absolutely killing it on the guitar all night! It gave our R5-loving hearts something to hold onto and squeeze. We were going to need all the squeezing we could get when The Driver Era sang ANOTHER unreleased song: ‘Don’t Walk Away,’ which only made us even MORE excited for the new album!

We were so lucky and excited to be able to see The Driver Era perform a sold-out show in Los Angeles, and we can’t wait to see what they do next! Catch them on the European leg of the XO Girlfriends tour!
