Y’all, we just got back from probably one of the best concerts we’ve been to. If you read the title, you know we’re talking about XG. Now, before we get too ahead of ourselves, let’s tell you a little bit about the group. Xtraordinary Girls, also known as XG is a global girl group which consists of JURIN, CHISA, HINATA, HARVEY, JURIA, MAYA, and COCONA. Their specialty is X-POP, which is basically music that transcends borders. With their music, personalities, and talents, they’ve made a lot of fans known as ALPHAZ along the way. And whew, there was a lot of ALPHAZ at XG’s first world tour, The first HOWL Landing at GRAND PRAIRIE.

As soon as we walked into the Texas Trust CU Theater, it was packed with excited ALPHAZ ready to see XG live for the first time, and honestly, even if you’re excitement is at a somewhat low, being around them will have you simply hyped. Everyone was decked out in cute outfits that mimicked the member’s outfits, most even wearing the wolf ears that you see XG sporting in their ‘WOKE UP’ MVS.
And because this is the first tour for XG, everyone was even more excited to get tour merch, especially the t-shirt, which we gotta admit is probably the best tour shirt we have seen from an artist in a while; it just screams XG. But if you want to get your hands on the shirt for the show, we highly recommend getting there as soon as the doors open because they sold out super fast, and understandably so. What we got was the lightstick, and y’all, it’s our new obsession. The spaceship can either be a solid white, or it changes based on the member’s colors. If you aren’t able to get the merch you wanted, you can also get it from their shop’s website, but it won’t be shipped out till May 1st, just FYI.
The first HOWL, as we mentioned, is XG’s first world tour, and honestly, it doesn’t even seem like it, from start to finish they really kicked it out of the park. They seemed like a well-seasoned group, not a two-year group going a world on tour for the first time. Their talent is astronomical, out of this world, both as a group and as individuals. They also got to show off in their group stages, unit stages, and solo stages. If y’all saw the dance breaks we saw right from the beginning, you would’ve been blown away. They were so good! After watching their solo stages, you would be confused about who is a part of the vocal unit because, man, XG has such amazing, strong, and special voices. Every time we got a solo stage, we thought, wow, “They’re like really good,” and then that continued with each solo we got. And even when they showed off their singing again with no backtrack, it was even more proof that their vocals are just so stable. Plus, you can just tell how much confidence they have, and it really carries to their performances, making them seem so comfortable on stage and like they are having fun with every performance. Making everyone else in the audience have tons of fun. And y’all, don’t even get us started on their amazing outfits; we want to give their stylist every reward there is!
This show exceeded our expectations by miles, making it harder for us to pick our favorite stages, but if we absolutely had to, we would have to pick…’TGIF,’ ‘LEFT RIGHT,’ JURIA’s rendition of ‘Without You’ which gave us goosebumps, ‘Tippy Toes,’ because we can’t even begin to explain how obsessed we were with the track when it first came out, COCONA’s rendition of ‘Dirt Off,’ HINATA singing ‘You Belong With Me,’ JAKOPS stage which showed behind the scene videos of XG which made us tear up. And obviously, ‘IYKYK,’ which we were the first ones to see it live, are you jealous? XG really brought the house down, and we would absolutely check them out again. We highly recommend you do as well.
