Kelsea is fully embracing healing and reflecting in this record in a way that feels just as honest as we saw her be on Rolling Up The Welcome Mat, despite an obvious, and welcomed tone shift. PATTERNS shows Kelsea maneuvering through the stages of finding love post-divorce, and what all the ups and downs look like. This is such a beautiful way to chronicle such a pivotal part of Kelsea’s life.

‘We Broke Up’

‘We Broke Up’ is the moving on song we’ve been waiting for! This song makes breaking up feel like a cause for celebration, and a reason to get together with friends and have the best time. Instead of crying over it, just realize it is what it is, and the world goes on.

‘Baggage’

While these are our three favorite tracks, ‘Baggage’ is our absolute number one. There are so many callbacks to Rolling Up The Welcome Mat on this track, and it truly spells out Kelsea Ballerini is happy and thriving. We can’t help but absolutely beam as we listen to our girl in her healing era!

‘Deep’

We can’t get enough of hearing the experimentation that takes place musically on this track. We love hearing Kelsea divert from what is traditionally considered a “country” backing track. It plays to the overall sultry nature of this song beautifully.
