In light of Halloween Eve, Black Veil Brides and Creeper played a co-headline show at Wembley Arena in London. If there’s one way to make Halloween more exciting, it has to be going to a gig, right? Trick-or-treating isn’t always socially acceptable for adults, so why not grab your drinks and snacks and scream your heart out to some classic metal tunes? It just felt fitting for the season.
Everything from people dressing up in costumes to handmade signs for the show to crowd surfing and head banging to every song played, these two bands managed to curate the perfect show for metal lovers. Audience members seemed to be heavily indulged in the entire set from both bands. It was a dream team if you ask us.

Creeper
Creeper were up first, opening the whole night with ‘Further Than Forever’, they set the scene, with a spooky graveyard backdrop, to them dressing the part… at least, we hope the blood from their mouths was fake. William took a moment during their set, to tell a personal story of how he lost a friend and recently attended their funeral. ‘More Than Death’ followed that speech as he dedicated the song to his friend. With everyone in bits, plenty of tears, and love flooded the room; people were holding their friends just a little bit closer.
They made their set incredibly fun to watch, not only by dressing the part and having a sick stage setup, but they showcased every member of the band perfectly, including their dancers, mostly when Hannah had her moment to shine. Closing their set with ‘Cry To Heaven,’ a hit from their most recent album, it went down a real treat with the crowd.

Black Veil Brides
Black Veil Brides took the energy to another level, the sky was the limit for the Devil’s Night Show. They touched on every era of theirs from 2010, performing ‘Knives and Pens’ was a shock to our system. ‘Faithless’ kicked off their set with incredible energy, they were wasting no time by easing into anything. Soon after, performing ‘Bleeders,’ which again felt fitting. Andy was Sweeney Todd in the music video for that song, and if there’s anything that scares us… It’s musical serial killers.
For those who don’t know Black Veil Brides (get to know, what are you DOING?!), they had your back, covering ‘Rebel Yell’ by Billy Idol. It was a move we won’t forget for a long time. They made sure it was a night to remember, from being kids who had emo phases, this show proves it was never just a phase. Everyone has those bands they keep going back to, and Black Veil Brides is that band for us.
They kept the energy high throughout the entire night, not that you’d expect any less from a show like this. But to perform a full-length set, at a co-headline show, is not for the weak.
