We love Taylor Acorn in this household and we’re not afraid to show it. From seeing her live to singing along to her music at the top of our lungs during our commutes, her music has become a part of our daily soundtrack. Her latest album Survival in Motion has been on repeat since it dropped (and for good reason) and a lot of those songs showed up in our end of the year on repeat playlists. Two of our favorite tracks on the album are ‘Greener’ and ‘People Watching’ and we’ve been gifted with new versions of them right before the holidays! Taylor Acorn’s Greener (Acoustic) EP is here featuring acoustic versions of these already amazing tracks.
‘Greener (Acoustic)’
‘Greener’ has been one of our favorite songs ever since we first heard it. Taylor Acorn’s stellar vocals and the production and lyricism of the song made it a stand-out track from the get-go, and the acoustic version is nothing short of amazing. ‘Greener (Acoustic)’ manages to capture the uplifting and powerful message behind ‘Greener’ and present the emotion in a more raw, stripped-down way. The acoustic version brings life to the message of the song in its own way, and Taylor’s vocals feel more raw and powerful, coming together to create this masterpiece of a track. ‘People Watching’
We latched onto ‘People Watching’ as a favorite track of ours from the very beginning. We didn’t think it was possible for this song to feel even more beautiful than it already is but here we are. ‘People Watching (Acoustic)’ brings more romance and emotion into the already amazing track. We can imagine it being someone’s wedding song honestly. Both of the songs on the Greener (Acoustic) EP feel like heightened emotional versions of the original, taking all of the power and vulnerability of both tracks and stripping them down to a more raw, slower essence, and we absolutely love it.
