It’s EP release season and we’re stoked! Lately, we’ve been keeping our eye on rising artist Rachel Chinouriri. When we first listened to Rachel on her song ‘All I Ever Asked,’ we knew we struck indie gold. From there, we dove headfirst into her last album, What A Devastating Turn Of Events. We can confidently say we are fully locked into Rachel and her music now! What an amazing turn of events it was when we saw she released a full EP.

Little House
If this gorgeous cover art didn’t catch your attention, we know the songs on Rachel’s new EP, Little House, will.
“I wrote an EP about my dreams of maybe having a little house with my future partner. A dream of having a small house, lots of land and having animals is a dream of mine and has been something I’ve wanted to achieve since I was a child. The moment I met my partner though, I realised he’d make the vision complete. I didn’t realise that me not wanting a partner was maybe me protecting myself from future pain, and I don’t know what I’d do without him because he’s definitely fixed a broken-hearted girl and I’ve blossomed into a woman.”
Rachel stated in a press release.
We love the divine feminine energy surrounding Rachel’s new music! This is exactly the type of music we’ve been searching for all spring, and we know we’ll be carrying it with us into summertime. Little House encompasses four incredible songs, each with unique and eye-catching titles and heartwrenching lyrics. Out of the four, here were our top favorites and our first-listen recommendations.
’23:42′
Rat off the bat, this song reminded us of Remi Wolf, so you know we had to add it to our favorites list! ‘23:42’ has an intoxicating beat that keeps you hooked until the last second. This is one of those songs that compels you to grab your bestie and run around, frolicking in a field of flowers. Honestly, we need to hear this song in a festival setting like now!
‘Indigo’
Now, this song had us crying so many tears the first time we heard it. It completely transported us to an emotional state that only the best songs can get us to. Even though it had us crying, it’s a bop nonetheless. ‘Indigo’ is a must-add to any chill playlists, or even for your spring into summer playlists.
