Sam Smith Celebrates Record Store Day With New Vinyl

April 12th is an exceptional day not only for music fans but also for independent record stores. If you didn’t know, there is a day in which we celebrate independent record stores. One of the most extraordinary things about it is that artists around the globe release special records to commemorate the date. This year, Sam Smith is among those artists, and they are releasing the iconic BBC Proms performance! Here is what we can expect from Sam Smith Record Store Day vinyl!

In The Lonely Hour 10-Year Anniversary!

What’s better than a Sam Smith album? Hearing Sam live, and with this exclusive vinyl, you can feel whenever you want like you are in the Royal Albert Hall, even if you are a thousand miles away. In the two LP vinyl, Sam performed songs from their album In The Lonely Hour, a record that came out 10 years ago! In the performance, Sam paid tribute to the album that changed their career with songs like ‘I’m Not The Only One.’ But don’t worry if you also like more recent songs of the British singer, because they also performed ‘Unholy’ and our personal favorite, ‘Too Good At Goodbyes.’

There is something magical about every concert at the Royal Albert Hall, and this concert shows exactly that. With a fusion of jazz and soul classics, Sam took a trip down memory lane, and we are back in 2014, listening to the album for the first time ever. They also performed covers such as ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow,’ a track that belongs in the heart of the whole world because of the tenderness of the lyrics.

Also, can we talk about the outfits they wore for the concert? Vivienne Westwood created costumes imagined just for Sam and their signature look, one that will endure for the rest of their career!
