After 2 new singles, an album announcement and a tour announcement, Arm’s Length have once again kept us on our toes with their newest single, ‘The Weight.’ This single comes just weeks before the release of the band’s sophomore album, There Is A Whole World Out There, kicking off a new (but just as sad) era for the band.

Arm’s Length are masters of a lot, but specifically bringing out those deep emotions. This time is no different. Allen Steinberg, lead singer and lyricist, dives deep into his struggles with eating disorders on this track. His ability to move us with raw, passionate lyrics, giving us a glimpse inside his brain is unlike anything we’ve seen before. ‘The Weight’ even connects this new era of Arm’s Length to their old era by calling back to ‘Formative Age’.
“Don’t want to take up much spacе so I get the best hiding placе” — ‘The Weight’
“Each lower-case city and bad hiding place” — ‘Formative Age’

This connection brings an even deeper emotion to the song, as Never Before Seen, Never Again Found has found a special place in our hearts. But this new, raw song taps into something we haven’t experienced before; something Allen has yet to show us. We’re so pumped to see how these eras come together to bring us closer to the band.
How are you feeling about ‘The Weight’ and There Is A Whole World Out There?! Personally, we’re on the edge of our seat to hear the rest of it. Tell us all of your feelings about the new Arm’s Length era in the comments or let us know on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook!
