We’re back again with another show review, and this time around, we snagged tickets to the How To Save A Life: The 20th Anniversary Tour! Houston was lucky enough to be day three of this leg, and honestly, we’re still buzzing that we got to be front and center for such an incredible night.
The Strike
Alright, buckle up, because The Strike absolutely slammed open the show, and we’re officially putting them on our “stalker fan club” list (in the best way possible, promise!). Seriously, what a performance!
These guys have stage presence for days. Chris Crabb, the lead singer, is basically a crowd whisperer; he had everyone wrapped around his finger, practically drooling for more. But let’s not forget the unsung hero of the night: Mason Thomas and his magnificent live sax. Every time that man lifted the horn, the crowd collectively lost its mind, chowing down on those sax solos like they were the tastiest snacks on Earth. And can you blame them? Absolutely not!

The Fray
After The Strike absolutely crushed it, the moment finally arrived for The Fray to hit the stage! The lights dropped, the stage went dark, and you could practically feel the roar of the crowd begging for their favorite band. They kicked things off with ‘She Is,’ and just like that, everyone was on their feet, fully charged for what promised to be an epic night. Around midway through their set, they brought out the big guns: ‘Over My Head’ and ‘How To Save A Life.’ The way the crowd was screaming every single lyric back at them was wild—a true testament to how deeply we’ve all fallen for those songs over the last two decades.
Now, we’re not sure if this is a nightly occurrence, but during ‘My Heart’s A Crowded Room,’ Joe King hopped right over the barricade and got his dance on with the crowd! He was even snapping selfies with fans as he casually strolled back to the stage. It was a seriously cool, unforgettable moment that cranked the energy in the room up to eleven!

All in all, this show was an absolute blast and one we’re definitely not forgetting anytime soon! We’re now practically vibrating with the need to catch another night on this tour, because, let’s be real, one evening just wasn’t enough for us.
