We are back with the best of what’s new in music, from Kelsea Ballerini and Kevin Jonas to Maisie Peters and so many more! Let’s jump in!
Kelsea Ballerini – Mount Pleasant
When you’re talking about the best songwriters in the business, Mount Pleasant, with ease, puts Kelsea Ballerini in that conversation! This record felt like a true catch-up, a look into where Kelsea has been since PATTERNS, and how, despite the intention of leaving baggage behind, it follows you. This EP has layers upon layers, and even after a few full listen-throughs, we are still finding new things to love.

Lewis Capaldi – Survive
Lewis Capaldi has dropped his long-awaited EP, Survive. And it shines a light on why we will always bring him up when we’re talking about vocal ability and unfiltered honesty in songwriting. Lewis disappeared from the spotlight for a bit, and Survive chronicles why that was and how Lewis coped. There is something magnetic about how transparent this project is.

Zara Larsson – ‘Midnight Sun’ (Muni Long Remix)
We will shout from every rooftop that Zara Larsson is long overdue to be one of the main pop girls! Zara’s most recent album, Midnight Sun, released earlier this year, shows a deep understanding and love for true pop music, and has us dancing around every room and screaming along to every lyric. We are going to close out this year dancing to this Muni Long remix of the title track, mark our words.

Carlie Hanson – ‘Take My L’
Carlie Hanson is an artist that we need all of you paying attention to as we go into 2026! We first covered Carlie back in 2020 and have only seen her come into her own more as an artist since then, making art that feels completely true to herself. ‘Take My L’ is the perfect example of that!

Maisie Peters – ‘Say My Name In Your Sleep’
If Maisie Peters has no fans, we are dead. It’s that simple. We have been around since ‘Favourite Ex’ and don’t plan on going anywhere anytime soon! ‘Say My Name In Your Sleep’ marks one of three songs that Maisie has released from her upcoming album, and this track may just be one of Maisie’s best. Everything feels elevated with these recent releases; from the writing and the vocals to the storytelling, we can feel the poignant growth.

Kevin Jonas – ‘Changing’
The day is finally here! Kevin girls have won, and ‘Changing’ is out in the world! While Nick and Joe have explored solo careers for years now, Kevin has always allowed his musical endeavors to begin and end with the Jonas Brothers, until now! ‘Changing’ is a perfect introduction to who Kevin is as an artist, how he writes, and the musical choices that are solely directed by him! We hope the new year is full of more spotlights on Kevin!

Wicked: For Good – The Soundtrack
It would simply be scandalous for us not to include the Wicked: For Good – The Soundtrack in our weekly wrap-up! After all, we have had this soundtrack on a never-ending loop since it came out, and we don’t see that ending anytime soon! We keep finding new moments in the movie and moments within the songs to dissect.
