Yes, you read that right! THP was lucky enough to attend 82MAJOR’s BE 범: BE THE TIGER Europe Tour, and we couldn’t have had a better time. On Sunday, 29th March, we headed down to London’s EartH to review the show, and here’s everything that 82MAJOR gave their fans, 82DE.
The Performance & Professionalism
The very first thing we were struck by when 82MAJOR hit the stage was their professionalism. They performed with the confidence and star quality of idols far more seasoned than the 2.5 years that 82MAJOR has had since they debuted! Not only that, but they are some of the best dancers we’ve ever seen; their moves were so clean, they were filthy.
Honestly, the best way to describe how entirely 82MAJOR filled the BE 범: BE THE TIGER Tour stage is to confess something: we didn’t even notice that there was no set design until halfway through the show. Seriously. K-Pop is known for its maximalism (which we absolutely love), but 82MAJOR are a great example of talent in its purest form! Sometimes, you don’t need all the embellishments to put on a grand stage.
We also have to talk about what an incredible job Yechan did. As a native English speaker, he really shone in leading the crowd interactions and translating for the members when occasionally required.
The Celebrations
Lowkey, THP have the best luck when it comes to celebrating idols’ birthdays IRL! This time, we were honored to celebrate Seongil… even if we did get (lovingly) shut down for singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to him too early in the show. We suppose that just means we got to celebrate him twice! Complete with a birthday cake and party hats, the birthday vibes were super cute. And, yes, for those of you wondering, he did get the infamous Colin The Caterpillar cake. It had to be done!
The Setlist
Most importantly, we have to share the setlist from the London show (spoiler alert: it was epic). We didn’t get ‘FIRST CLASS,’ but that might be for the best. If 82MAJOR had performed it, we don’t think we’d still be functioning enough to write this review.
