Seeing Disclosure perform live has been on our bucket list for some years now. When we saw that they were going on a tour in the United States, we knew we had to be there no matter what. Fresh off an amazing Coachella set, Howard and Guy brought their magical music to our hometown, and boy, what a night we had. From hearing ‘White Noise’ and ‘Latch’ to catching their new song, ‘The Sun Comes Up Tremendous,’ their set was filled with every song we ever could have wanted to hear from them. The night was absolutely perfect. Here’s how it went!
Malugi Set The Tone For The Night
To start the EDM vibes off right, Malugi took to the stage to perform his set. We arrived at the venue early enough to catch his entire performance, and we are so glad that we did! Although it was a bit cold outside, Malugi brought us to the summer beaches of St. Tropez with his electronic dance music set. Honestly, we couldn’t help but dance the entire time! Malugi’s energy was top-notch, and he interacted with all the fans on the barricade, holding up hand-hearts of appreciation. This being our first introduction to Malugi, we have to say it was a great one. If you plan on attending Disclosure’s tour this year, we suggest you get to your venue early for an awesome opening set!
Disclosure Opens With ‘F For You’
As Malugi stepped off stage, the crowd’s anticipation and excitement soared. We all knew what was coming next – Disclosure was about to step on stage. What would they open with? That was the surprise we were all waiting for. As fans pushed to the front of the stage, the crowd kept getting bigger and bigger, and as the lights went down, ‘F For You’ started playing. What an amazing opening number!
Howard and Guy took the audience’s adrenaline and ran! What followed was a night we will never forget. ‘F For You’ took us right into ‘When A Fire Starts To Burn’ with exceptional red and orange flame visuals that truly brought the song to life in a way we’ve never experienced before. On top of hearing our favorite Disclosure songs live, enjoying the sound of live instruments, and being surrounded by fellow music lovers, we were enveloped in purple, green, blue, and orange lasers that heightened the experience tenfold! A standout moment was during ‘Help Me Lose My Mind’ when the screens turned into a starry night sky, and the crowd simply fell in love. It was at this moment that you could really feel the love of the fans as they hugged each other and closed their eyes, feeling every word. If you’re a music fan who appreciates colorful visuals and lasers that take you on a journey, then we can’t recommend Disclosure’s live show enough.
We’re Latching Onto Disclosure!
The moment many many fans were waiting for finally came towards the end of the show. The beginning chords of Disclosure’s most popular song, ‘Latch,’ started to play, and the smoke started to rise. “This song changed our lives!” Howard and Guy said, and in that moment, we bet you could hear the screams of happiness from miles away! As fans started to realize what was about to come next, everyone pulled out their cameras to capture the moment forever. We will never forget these couple of minutes of hearing ‘Latch’ live and will be forever grateful that we experienced this life-changing moment!
We Danced On!
Just when we thought the set was over, Disclosure kept the night going! As amazing as ‘Latch’ was, it wasn’t the final song in the setlist, and there was more dancing to be had. The guys followed it up with ‘You & Me,’ which just took the energy to a whole new level. As the lights came up to signal the end of the show, no one wanted to leave. “Wait, that’s the end?” we heard fans say. “Can’t they do just one more song?” other fans begged. Believe us, we were on the same page. We never wanted the night to end! We were filled with so much dancing energy that we had to stay and party it out in the pit until we were kicked out (sorry!).
