If 2016 us knew that The Cab and Paradise Fears would come back together to tour across the US, we would not have believed you! But it has happened and we couldn’t be more grateful for The Cab for 1. coming back together and 2. bringing back Paradise Fears for another tour.
We got to see them when they stopped by House of Blues in Chicago and it was truly a night to remember! While the show felt very nostalgic, it was incredible to see old fans and new fans come together to support the bands that we love!

CARR
CARR was first up on the lineup and we absolutely loved their set! This was the first time we had seen them live and The Cab could not have chosen a better opener for the Back From The Dead Tour! They recently released their album, CARRGIRL, and we’ve had it on repeat since we left the show!
Our favorite songs from the setlist were: ‘Spiral City,’ ‘3rd Date,’ and ‘Carrtoons!’

Paradise Fears
Our 18 year old self was screaming when we got the news that Paradise Fears would be opening for The Cab on the ‘Back From The Dead Tour!’ PF is just one of those bands that really gets us in our feels. Every time we see them, we reminisce on our younger years when we’d travel around the US to go to multiple shows on a tour with our best friends. Their music (as well as The Cab’s) was truly the soundtrack to our late teens and early 20s and we will forever be thankful we got to experience both of these bands during that time in our life.
When PF took the stage the energy went right back to 100 and we were so happy to see so many people singing along to their songs. Time seemed to stop when we got to the ‘Sanctuary’ rap and we felt a decade younger reciting it with Sam. And when they played ‘Just A Feeling?’ We were on the floor! Every song on PF’s set list was chosen perfectly and really brought us through the history of the band. The energy was high the entire time, which only got us ready for The Cab to come onto the stage!
Our favorite songs from the setlist were: ‘Sanctuary,’ ‘Just A Feeling,’ and ‘Battle Scars!’

The Cab
The Cab was up next and after two incredible sets from CARR and Paradise Fears, we were ready! Starting out with ‘Locked and Loaded’ and transitioning into ‘Temporary Bliss,’ was lowkey insane, but the most insane thing of their set was when they began to play ‘Intoxicated.’ In the history of The Cab, they had never performed that song live and we are still in shock that we finally heard it in the year 2026!
During the first half of The Cab’s set, they play a 90s medley and we felt like they did that just for us! Playing Backstreet Boys, ‘NSYNC, and Britney Spears?! The Cab really said, ‘we got you, THP!’ Chicago also was here for that medley and the entire crowd was singing along the entire time.
The Cab perfectly set up their setlist to play their older music and sprinkled in a good dose of their newer music. Although their older songs will always have a special place in our heart, we loved getting to sing along with our fellow Chicago fans to the music off of their latest album, Chasing Crowns! We hope this is just the start of more music and tours for the future!
Our favorite songs from the setlist were: ‘These Are The Lies,’ ‘Vegas Skies,’ and ‘Living Louder!’
