Since Unlock: GO LIVE IN LIFE back in 2020, we’ve watched Stray Kids give their concert through the screen more times than we can count. Whether we’ve woken up early or stayed up late, Stray Kids have always made it worth it to watch them perform and share the moment with countless people online. This time, on November 7th, it’s just like that, but also not at all, because Stray Kids are livestreaming their show in movie theaters. The RUN IT Live Viewing is right around the corner as Stray Kids go back to Tokyo for a second round of sold-out shows, and we’ll be front row from the other side of the world. Here’s why you should too.
Stray Kids’ Biggest Show
After the dominATE World Tour, Stray Kids set the bar extremely high for what a tour could be. They broke records, crafted a flawless setlist, and made history with a tour that took them all around the world. And yet, it can’t be considered their biggest show anymore because the RUN IT World Tour took the crown with ease. With a setlist crafted to honor their origins, to shine a light on Korean culture and on every aspect of the influences that make Stray Kids‘ music so unique, the RUN IT World Tour is impressive beyond belief. With a show like this, it isn’t enough to be there; we need to see every moment in HD, and that’s exactly what they’re bringing to us.
The Japanese B-Sides
The live viewing will broadcast their second round of Tokyo sold-out shows for the RUN IT World Tour, and there’s a very particular thing about Japanese shows that always makes them extra special: the setlist changes. In Japan, Stray Kids always make sure to bring out the jewels in the Japanese side of their discography. A big example is how they added ‘just a little,’ one of Stray Kids‘ most beautiful and underrated ballads from their mini-album Hollow, as a permanent song during the Japanese dates. As encores, they’ve performed songs like ‘FAM’ and ‘All In.’ To get to see these jewels as if we were at the concert ourselves is an experience we know we will get very little chances to get again.
The Energy
The energy of a Stray Kids‘ show is absolutely unmatched. Nothing quite compares to the safe place they’ve created with their music. They have a way of performing that fills the room with so much passion, inspiration, and energy. Even more than before, the RUN IT World Tour setlist emphasizes that infectious energy. An entire part of the show is dedicated to the EDM side of Stray Kids‘ discography, and they create a party, low-key a rave, every single time. You have sections dedicated to their more sing-along pop-rock songs too, and sections dedicated to their most iconic songs. And every section is explosive. To get to live an energy like that is a once in a life time experience. There’s something really special about being connected with millions of people through Stray Kids‘ music and their energy, and we get to experience that again with this live viewing.
The New Performances
A new show means new performances, and Stray Kids didn’t hold back. Of course this setlist includes some of the most impressive performances they’ve ever done, and we already know well: from fan favorites like ‘Hall of Fame‘ to some iconic songs like ‘Double Knot‘ and some showstopping performances like the MAMA version of ‘CEREMONY.’ But the new performances make this show even more unforgettable. Stray Kids performed ‘SLASH‘ for the first time and, of course, ‘RUN IT.’ Both of these performances are there to prove just how much Stray Kids keep pushing the boundaries of their performances and their music. They’re unstoppable, and performances like these are the reason why they’re a force no one can match.
