Sometimes our job is really easy: reviewing music when your faves drop iconic releases, or when the answers to the question you’re asking are obvious. Thanks to &TEAM, this playlist fits both of those situations! Once someone utters the words “&TEAM” and “Halloween” in the same sentence, it’s hard not to immediately list their entire discography. In fact, this THPloween playlist was more about narrowing down their most spooky songs, rather than trying to hunt them down. And it’s all thanks to our favorite wolf pack!
‘Deer Hunter’
The eerie instrumental is just one of the many, many reasons why every LUNÉ loves ‘Deer Hunter.’ “My primal instincts are awake” is a pretty good way to start your spooky season, right?
‘Running With The Pack’
Next, we’re going back in time to baby &TEAM! ‘Running With The Pack’ is from the competition show that formed &TEAM, &AUDITION: The Howling, proving that they’ve been embodying this werewolf concept since day one.
‘Bewitched’
What’s better than one magical concept? Two, of course! In this epic rock track, &TEAM are up to their usual werewolf antics, but now they’ve been ‘Bewitched,’ too! With lyrics like “You are black magic,” and “A night soaked in a red moon,” how could this not be on every Halloween playlist?
‘ALIEN’
Like ‘Bewitched,’ we’re straying ever so slightly from the werewolf concept for this next track. But ‘ALIEN’ is still very on-theme, right? Besides, this song is a lot softer and brighter than most of this &TEAM playlist, so it’ll give you a nice change from those angsty wolves.
‘Mark on Me’
We never thought we’d see the day that K-Pop idols released a song about marking, but clearly we underestimated &TEAM. ‘Mark on Me’ is elegant and theatrical, exactly what you’d need for those fancier Halloween events.
‘Scent of you’
From marking… to scenting. We’ll put aside the 903 werewolf jokes we wanna make to instead say: this song is far too underrated, and we won’t stand for it! Maybe it’s overshadowed by the epic ‘Under the skin,’ but this disco-pop moment deserves more appreciation (and a spot on your playlists).
‘Night to howl!’
The rock teamies are back! ‘Night to howl’ is an epic pop-punk song that is beloved by so many LUNÊs. But more importantly, &TEAM are howling like… the whole way through the song. What could be more Halloween-coded than that?
‘Run Wild’
This next track might feel more refreshing than most spooky songs, but it’s so good that we just don’t care. Frankly, ‘Run Wild’ deserves a spot on all your playlists, so let’s start with your Halloween-themed ones!
‘W.O.L.F’
Last but not least, our final wolf song is literally ‘W.O.L.F.’ This song was an OST for &TEAM’s Dark Moon: The Grey City (go read the webtoon for extra THPloween points) and was sung by the OG &AUDITION Boys members: K, EJ, Nicholas, and Taki. Having said that, we’re gonna use this opportunity to make you watch our favorite OT9 version.
There are so many honorable mentions we could’ve added. This article – and your playlist – could have been twice as long. ‘War Cry,’ ‘Scar to Scar,’ ‘Jyuugoya,’ ‘Imprinted’ – we’re so sorry.
