We Cried Watching Harry Styles’ ‘Satellite’ MV

The legendary Harry Styles has gifted us another masterpiece of a music video for ‘Satellite’ and we have to warn you – it is a real tear-jerker for sure! Rather than having unique concepts like the music videos for ‘Music For a Sushi Restaurant’ and ‘Adore You,’ we were granted a nice and cute story, perfect for the coming of spring, we say!

You can stream the music video here!

The music video’s story follows Stomper, a vacuum cleaner robot used backstage at Harry Styles’ shows. After Harry has made his way up to the stage, footage on the TV shows Mars’ Curiosity rover making it to the planet. With the broadcast saying it feels lonely out there, Stomper has now created a mission for itself to make its way to Curiosity. The cute little robot sets out, leaving the venue and traveling all across the country to find the rover, never giving up whether it was rain, sleet, or snow. The music video ends on such a sad note, with Stomper finally reaching NASA, and meeting Harry in the end, but eventually dying out due to low battery.

We at THP have truly felt so many emotions watching this video that we cannot fathom what to feel. Sad and heartbroken? Yes. Full of wonder? Absolutely. Obsessed with Stomper? Maybe. Like, come on, it’s Harry Styles! Of course, there is such a compelling yet deep meaning to so many of his songs. We feel like the meaning behind this is to never give up no matter what obstacles reach you, and even though it has to end, it was worth it. And we find that beautiful (like Harry, okay, we’ll stop!).
