What You Need To Know About New Boy Band, XY

Hey Honey Poppers! You guys are in for a real treat today because we have the lowdown on boy band XY. So you better be paying attention, because we’re about to give you the rundown. Let’s get into it!

XY originated from a variety show called Yoshiki Superstar Project X. The applicants come from around the world; 20 contestants join the competition and find out they passed the audition phase. From there on out, the contestants start to rehearse a track Yoshiki (who we believe is one of the most talented artists we know) has produced. After this, people got cut, and we meet some pretty cool judges, in addition to meeting some crazy talented people too. Until we have our current and final members.

Now Introducing…

If you like bigger groups, XY is just for you. *pssst* they even have 13 members. And if you’re wondering why there are 13 members, it’s because XY is two groups in one! You have your dance/vocals: Jay, Hayato, Raia, Kice, Kanji, P→★, Mitchy, Kosei, and your band: Kyohey (drums), Kairi (guitar), Furutatsu (bass), Karma (vocals), Gai (vocals). Yoshiki wanted to create a different kind of global group. One that would be genre-less. Which honestly makes us even more excited!

XY has an official single debut coming up real soon, June 30th, to be exact. The group is finally releasing its debut track ‘Crazy Love.’ Which is written, produced, and composed by Yoshiki. We’ve already gotten to hear the track since the group performed it live on NTV. And y’all, the talent each member showcased, wow! You can check out their live performance below, and be on the lookout for the tracks’ digital release!

Not that it matters when you start following a group, but we believe you should be stanning XY like now. They have serious talent and deserve all the hype they’re already getting, and with Yoshiki leading the charge, the sky is limitless for the group.
