You know that we at The Honey POP always keep you up to date with the latest must-listen-to music and today’s no different with a special premiere. We’re telling you right now, Soda Blonde’s, ‘Bad Machine’ is going to be at the top of your on repeat playlist.
Guitarist, Adam O’Regan explained the process behind their new song and said, “Soda Blonde works differently for each song, but the process usually begins with an acoustic demo from Faye. A song won’t be brought into the room until the lyrics have been completed first. We were fortunate to have her share ‘Bad Machine’ with us on one of those rare occasions when she shared a rough cut without lyrics ready to go.”
Together, we developed the song into what it is today. We loved it immediately and a very quick arrangement began to form.”

We love everything about ‘Bad Machine’ because it’s just so catchy and we can’t get enough. You seriously can’t just listen to it once. We’re obsessed with the contrast between the dreamy vocals and the distorted sound. You can stream the song or watch the music video below.
Lyrics We Love
“Every part of me like a bad machine
Breaking everything all the time
Every part of me has been wired to repeat,
I’ve got a bad desire by design.”
But fun fact! Lyrics were the last thing to be added to the song. “Before we knew it, we had a fully formed production – but no lyrics! No songwriter wants to be in this situation. It can be intimidating to find the right lyrics for a fully produced song. The more so when it’s as mean as “Bad Machine”. Faye and I composed lyrics together – another rare occurrence.
I consider it a highlight of the recording process, and one of the favorites on the album.”
