UMI recently announced her upcoming EP, talking to the wind, which will be released on January 19th. This EP marks the next chapter in UMI’s journey, following her much-loved debut album, Forest in the City, in 2022.

To set the scene for the upcoming EP, we will be listening to ‘why don’t we go,’ a pre-release from talking to the wind. This song is all about enjoying your internal youth, being carefree and young. The funk-infused guitar is catchy, and the track has a perfect lo-fi opening vibe.
‘say im ur luv’
This R&B tune introduced a new dimension from UMI, and since its release last year, we’ve not stopped playing it. Plus, the video was self-funded by UMI as she spreads the message to fans about the importance of investing in themselves and their dreams.

This song, in particular, captures the delicacy of love and pairs it with a calming melody. The video is a heartwarming celebration of queer love. It’s truly a fan favorite and resonates with anyone who might feel like they’re in the minority. UMI is bringing something so fresh that the music breaks barriers and nurtures love.
