Will Swinton? More like Will Swoon-ton 😍 Yes, we’re in love and completely obsessed with the Auckland singer-songwriter. In fact, we ‘Daydream’ about him all day and listen to his songs until the sun sets each night. Will’s newest track, ‘Daydream,’ is taking us into the New Year with high hopes for music!
The Inspiration
‘Daydream’ was born from a dream, and the song lived up to its expectations because it ended up being an absolute dream!
“‘Daydream’ came from a dream that I had. In the dream I was in a studio session with FINNEAS, and he played me music,” said Will Swinton. “He plays it and it was the melody to ‘Daydream.’ I don’t remember the words exactly, but I made a voice memo of it as soon as I woke up.“

The fact that FINNEAS was an inspiration for this track is no surprise. That man also ends up in all of our dreams. If only FINNEAS would actually hop on a Will Swinton track, we’d die!
Will’s Sound
Immediately, Will’s sound reminds us of the likes of Post Malone with instrumental-likeness to Coldplay. Listeners can also hear a bit of bluegrass influence in Will’s sound, which makes his music that much more exciting to hit play ▶️ on. We love an artist who has range! This song really allows us to get a feel for Will’s voice, and boy is it dreamy! We also adore the way his voice sounds on ‘All For You’ and ‘Leave In The Morning’ from his latest EP. Better Days.
We can’t wait for a full album with tons of beautiful songs and a world tour where we can sing our lungs off to these songs!
