AleXa’s Diverse Sound Up Until ‘sick’

AleXa sick

Do you hear that? AleXa started the new year with a new sound, and it’s one we’ve been anticipating the release of for a bit now. Remember that song we couldn’t get out of our heads after hearing it at Jingle Ball in December and later on The Kelly Clarkson Show? That’s right, AleXa officially dropped ‘sick,’ and everything is right in the world.

‘sick’ heralds the beginning of a new musical era for AleXa, and we’re here for it. The song’s powerful message captures the essence of a toxic relationship and the struggle one experiences because of it. The single is accompanied by a visual fight of that struggle, which helps further emphasize the strong emotions.

WARNING: The video contains scenes of violence, blood, and other possibly triggering scenes, watch with caution and at your own discretion.

Listen to ‘sick‘ here.

This era of my career feels like the most authentic version of myself. ‘sick’ is a departure from my previous releases, and I’m excited to share a side of me that is deeply connected to my pop-punk influences.

AleXa

If ‘sick’ is a new start for AleXa, it’s only fitting that we take a look back at her music up until now. While focusing on a powerful sound and concept, the Oklahoma-born singer still managed to showcase different sides to her even before this latest single. Let’s take a quick look into some of her music as a reminder and as we get ready for this new chapter.

A Strong ‘REVOLUTION’ Stand

Speaking of power, there are plenty of tracks that showcase AleXa’s strong sound. From ‘Bomb’ and ‘Do Or Die’ to ‘REVOLUTION’ and ‘Wonderland,’ she has proven time and time again that she eats this concept, and it will always be one of our favorites. The strong stand she pulls simply fills a room (or in this case, us) with so much energy. We will always have these songs on our playlists.

She Went ‘Back In Vogue’

With ‘Back In Vogue’ and ‘Xtra,’ we got a different taste from the K-Pop solo sensation. Keeping the uptempo, she switched the dark concept for a visually brighter one, yet we were still able to find her fierce nature. ‘Back In Vogue’ sounds empowering, and we are always here for that kind of sound and message.

Melting Us With ‘Juliet’

The sweetness of ‘Juliet‘ is truly something different compared to the upbeat tracks that AleXa has been releasing. Her vocals shine so bright in this track, we are still very much in love with the single. Our romantic sides are in their prime with this bittersweet masterpiece.

What do you think of AleXa’s ‘sick?’ Excited to hear what her next songs will bring to her discography?
