Be A Proud ‘Spectator’ Of Friday Pilots Club’s Debut Album Nowhere

We weren’t quite ready to be this obsessed with a new song today, but oh boy, we’re really in it now, honeybees. Not only have Friday Pilots Club released their addictive new single, ‘Spectator,’ but they’ve also announced their upcoming debut album, Nowhere, which is set to be released on May 9th. This hive is buzzing with excitement!

If this is your first time hearing about this incredible band, then prepare to get excited and put on your stan hats fast! Before we delve into the details of their upcoming debut album, we have to talk about this new single. Friday Pilots Club already blew our minds when they gave us ‘Vampire Disco,’ and ‘Spectator’ has done just the same. We couldn’t be happier about that. We adore their music so much!

Friday Pilots Club has given us a deliciously dark blend of what the reality of things can be when it comes to changes in ‘Spectator.’ It’s a track that instigates thoughts on whether we should stand on the sidelines or get stuck into it all in certain situations. For the band, it comes from all the major changes happening with them.

‘Spectator’ is the dark passenger and the undying inner critic. In the wake of major changes in our lives, we must choose whether we will go on experiencing things from the driver’s seat or safely spectating life from somewhere outside of ourselves. This song is an ode to that choice and embodies the vision and
sonics of the upcoming album, Nowhere.

If you’re looking to add a new track to your playlist that’ll spark intrigue and has a punchy chorus, you won’t want to miss out on ‘Spectator’ by Friday Pilots Club!

About That Album…

As soon as we heard that Friday Pilots Club was going to release their debut album, Nowhere, we were cheering. Literally. Hands up in the air, waving our arms around like crazy little bees. We’re big fans of the band and their music, so we’re super excited to hear a full album from them! And, from what we’ve heard, it’s going to have a certain aura of moodiness, and we love the sound of that.

Nowhere is set to be the band’s most epic and most personal release, with each member of Friday Pilots Club contributing to its iconic sounds and lyrics. They came together as a team to write the words as well as the music and collaborated perfectly as a unit of five to be able to give us the best of the best.

Many, many times, somebody would come to me and be like, hey bud, not everybody wants to read Shakespeare every single time they pull up the lyric of a verse. Sometimes I don’t know what I’m saying, so I just throw in big words. Thankfully, everybody here is actually a really, really good lyric writer,
so we could bounce things off of each other and figure
out, OK, what’s the Friday Pilots Club thing to say?
