Sometimes, we get blown away by the efforts of artists and their ways of creating a community for their fans. A safe space for everyone to come together to share their love for something? We adore that so much. girli has blown us away with her newest endeavor, the girliverse, and we just had to share what we found in Matriarchy Mansion! Because, as huge fans of girli ourselves, we were so excited to dive right in.
girli created the girliverse as an online interactive experience, and it contains the Matriarchy Mansion, a place inspired by her upcoming album, Matriarchy, set to release May 17th. It features three separate rooms for her loyal community of fans to explore: the bedroom, the living room, and the walk-in wardrobe. There’s so much to discover and a lot of learning opportunities in terms of history, and we loved every second of exploring each clickable option!
My new album, Matriarchy, is all about community, so having a digital space for fans to come together and learn and play was something I wanted to share.

While we won’t spoil everything, as we’re so sure you’re excited to discover things for yourself, we just had to share some of our favorite things!
The Portraits
You can find clickable portraits on the walls throughout Matriarchy Mansion, and each contains inspirational women and LGBTQ+ figures personally picked by girli. These are some of her favorites throughout history. Sally Ride, the first American woman in space and a beacon of courage, empowerment, and motivation, is featured in the walk-in wardrobe. Ada Lovelace, the first computer programmer who aided in planting the seeds of modern computing, can be found in the bedroom. Mary Anning, a pioneering paleontologist who brought Jurassic marine fossil finds to light during a time of gender constraints, can be discovered in the living room. These are just a few highlights, and we highly recommend diving into Matriarchy Mansion yourself to discover more of the incredible portraits of inspiring people!
The Bookshelf
If you’re a fan of girli, her music, and everything she has to offer, then you’ll absolutely adore being able to get more insight into what books she loves while visiting Matriarchy Mansion! It includes a couple of incredible books from various writers, and if you’re an avid book reader like us, you’ll seriously love these recommendations. One that’s included on the shelf, Fingersmith by Sarah Waters, a period romance thriller, is about two strong women and it’s set in Victorian London. Love the sound of that? Jump right into the girliverse to discover the rest in the Matriarchy Mansion!

Obviously, we had to check out the fan art gallery, and wow, girli fans are talented! We love it when artists appreciate the efforts of their fans and showcase their art for all to see. And if you’re an artistic fan eager to share your glorious work with girli herself, then you’ll definitely want to jump into the Discord server with all the other pinkies to share yours!
