Sometimes, we all need a mood boost. And what better way to get a smile on our faces than by listening to some music, right? When we feel like we need to get some good vibes, we always listen to songs by Dayglow. There’s something about his songs that makes the sun shine on a gloomy day, and we’ll never get tired of that. And do you want to know the best bit? Dayglow recently released his new single, ‘Every Little Thing I Say I Do,’ and it is such a catchy anthem.
So, to celebrate the release of ‘Every Little Thing I Say I Do,’ we’re going to take a look at that song and more music by Dayglow that always puts a smile on our faces.
‘Every Little Thing I Say I Do’
Of course, we need to start with this catchy bop. Dayglow created ‘Every Little Thing I Say I Do’ with the intention of poking fun at his own perfectionism.
‘Every Little Thing I Say I Do’ is a song where I’m poking fun at my perfectionism and my desire for control. It’s a pretty ridiculous claim—that I not only do everything perfectly but also for your benefit—but that’s the point. It’s a toxic and impossible way of being, yet this is the mode I, unfortunately, tend to be running from in my little homosapien brain.
Dayglow
It’s safe to say that all of us perfectionists totally understand and can relate so hard. Perfectionism in itself can be such a battle. Of course, the results can be incredible as a result. However, perhaps we can use ‘Every Little Thing I Say I Do’ by Dayglow to self-reflect on our patterns and the way we beat ourselves up sometimes. For us, this song has put a smile on our faces and made us have a better understanding of ourselves as well as how we should be kinder to ourselves in the face of our own critiques.
I write songs as a way to better understand myself, and I tend to be fairly harsh sometimes. Once a song is done, though, I always feel like I grew up a little bit and that I was able to see a more realistic glimpse of myself from the outside. My hope is that the same effect happens for listeners, too. I hope to make songs that help people self-reflect and become nicer because I surely always need to. They can totally just dance to the song, too, though. It’s pretty damn catchy.
Dayglow
There’s no doubt about that. Dayglow is right in saying we can dance to ‘Every Little Thing I Say I Do,’ and we’re doing just that while we watch the amazing music video! And can you believe he crafted this entirely by himself? Is there anything that Dayglow can’t do? So talented!
’Hot Rod’
If you want to keep on dancing to the best songs today, then you’re definitely going to want to listen to ‘Hot Rod’ by Dayglow next! This indie pop anthem is the perfect song to sprinkle some light on a dark day, too. It has such a whimsical rhythm, and the beat makes us want to get up and groove. The meaning within the lyrics Dayglow wrote for ‘Hot Rod’ is about how the person he’s in a relationship with may not be the one for him and how he’s always landing in second place. Even with such a relatable, true-to-life meaning, the effervescent sound still carries us up out of our seats to dance our worries away.
And don’t get us started on the accompanying music video. It’s such a delightful, colorful watch and is sure to give you that mood boost you’re looking for!
‘Listerine’
Another mood-boosting song by Dayglow would be ‘Listerine.’ There’s something about that indie-pop sound that makes us think about driving down an open road with the roof down in the midst of summer. And what better imagery to have on a cloudy day, right? ‘Listerine’ is about the hesitation that comes when a relationship feels like it’s in the process of changing.
If you want to be sure you are swaying into the good vibes, you’ll definitely want to check out the ‘Listerine’ music video and move along with Dayglow!
But this list isn’t the end. If you love ‘Every Little Thing I Say I Do’ and the rest of these songs by Dayglow, you’ll definitely want to check out the rest of his music! Dayglow’s talents know no bounds, and we cannot wait to keep listening to everything he has to offer in the future.
