Ashnikko is a one-of-a-kind artist. She was born in the United States and raised in Eastern Europe and launched their music career in the United Kingdom on audio streaming platform SoundCloud.
In total she has released one studio album (Weedkiller, 2023), three EPs (Sass Pancakes, 2017; Unlikeable, 2018; Hi, It’s Me, 2019), various singles, and has collaborated with other contemporaries such as Doja Cat and Grimes. Their music found mainstream with ‘STUPID’ featuring Yung Baby Tate and ‘Daisy’.
While her signature blue hair and incisive wordsmithing have raised a staunch audience, there are more reasons to stan Ashnikko.
Aesthetic

Her music videos are the full package with interesting and at times unpredictable narratives. In ‘STUPID,’ she and Yung Baby Tate are a suburban nightmare as they approach their former partners’ houses with weapons. In ‘WEEDKILLER’ their character eliminates machines that raze the earth in search of biological matter to consume. It’s a cinematic experience!

Ashnikko is a performer. With a natural charisma and vigor, their expressions are genuine and their movements complementary to the atmosphere of the song. From interacting with other artists and dancers to boosting up the crowd, she knows how to have fun.
Sound
Ashnikko resonates with people because of their open and indulgent expression. She delivers controversial material without flinching and without substituting contentious terms with purple prose. In particular their feminine rage has provided people the words for their frustration and concerns: “This is not an invitation / F*ck you mean you need it? / F*ck you mean you RSVPed? / I don’t need a reason.”
Ashnikko is courageous and point-blank, and because of that, she can communicate with people on an emotional level.
Vulnerability
Ashnikko is free-swinging in their music without compromising their emotional depth. She has explored and confronted difficult experiences in their life such as their assault and romantic desolation, which carries an authentic and human connection. People can listen and relate to Ashnikko whether it’s about “I’m the baddest” or “The world is burning, I got worms in my brains.”
