Meghan Trainor has just released her best album to date. Period. We know that’s a big claim with Title under her belt as her debut (!!) album, but it is simply true and we can’t deny it. Right after listening to Timeless, we watched Meghan Trainor on a show called Last Meals (which you can, and should, watch here) and really got a deep insight into what this record means to Meghan, which in turn of course, made it even more personal for us. This record, while a lot of the songs are certified bops, if you look into the lyrics you will find that the tracks contain love letters, contain fears of Meghans about leaving those she loves, about the want to be Timeless. It’s a beautiful body of work, and we knew this called for breaking down our three favorite songs with all of you!

‘Whoops’
‘Whoops’ is officially part of our self-love anthem club. This track is all about realizing it is most definitely the other person’s loss when a relationship ends, and that you are worth loving, regardless of whether someone realizes it in time or not.
Leave it to Meghan Trainor to release a song that will no doubt be played everywhere this summer, but to also have such depth when you read into it.
‘Bestie’
‘Bestie’ is the song we think everyone needs to hear at least once. This track is all about how Meghan wants to be her own best friend, her biggest cheerleader, because at the end of the day who is going to have your back if you don’t have your back? It’s a lesson we often forget when we are feeling down or reliant on others for that support, so to be reminded with a backing track that makes us want to dance is something you won’t hear us complaining about.
‘Doin’ It All For You’
‘Doin’ It All For You’ is a straight-up love letter to Daryl, and that’s beautiful. This song plays on the “invisible string” theory with the lyrics “I should have known it was always you,” and reminds us of what a pure and beautiful thing true love is. We knew we had to end this list with ‘Doin’ It All For You’ because seeing Meghan this happy is something that is just infectious.
