If you’ve been waiting for a ONE PACT comeback since their debut, then you’re one of us, and the wait is finally over. The group made its first return with the single album PARADOXX, presenting us with three brand new tracks, and we’re here to hype them up.
Originally a 5-member boy group, but for this comeback, ONE PACT came to us as four. This is due to member Jay Chang’s activities with the upcoming project group B.D.U. While we are sad that it is not a full group comeback, we are still very excited and supportive of the boys, just like we would, no matter the member number. Besides, skipping on good music is not our style.

The Main PARADOXX: ‘FXX OFF’
Kicking PARADOXX off is the title track itself, ‘FXX OFF.’ The gentle piano at the beginning tried setting us up for something completely different, and then we realized: expect the unexpected. We were in for the intense atmosphere right from the start. No time wasted; just jump right into it. And we love it. The members show off a powerful presence through their singing and rapping, and that just gets us even more excited about the group. They manage to pour feelings into their music so seemingly effortlessly. With an upbeat sound, ONE PACT includes lyrics and expresses them in a way that evokes emotions in the listener. Truly artistic behavior. And we don’t mean only the title track.
The PARADOXX B-sides
‘DEJAVU’ certainly made it onto our favorite B-sides list. We had a feeling about this one since the album preview dropped, and we were right. The chorus is so addicting that it’s even stuck in our heads. Despite its hooking beat, the song carries a rather dark theme of self-doubt and questioning, the pain that comes from it, and the aim to overcome them.
Remember when ONE PACT debuted and how spoiled we felt with so many music videos? Do you also recall the self-made video of ‘RUSH IN 2 U?’ Well, guess what! We got another clip that lists members JONGWOO and TAG participating as director and producer, respectively. The song in question? The heartrending ‘PERIOD.’ This is the most gentle song on PARADOXX sound-wise, touching yet again on serious topics. Yet, to contrast the feeling of the track, its music video shows simple everyday moments, as well as cute and silly shots of the members to make us smile. If ONE PACT keeps this up, we’ll expect self-made videos every comeback.
