‘Hollow’

When we tell you we were speechless after listening to this song for the first time, we mean it. RoZe’s storytelling is absolutely phenomenal in the first track of Greener Grass. ‘Hollow’ tells us about her decision to run away from her home and leave her abusive father behind to heal and turn all the negativity into something positive. RoZe wants to provide a helping hand to those that have gone/are going through this situation, letting them know that they’re brave and that they’re not alone. This song is one of the most honest songs we’ve ever heard. Every single verse is so powerful and so vulnerable. ‘Hollow’ was also RoZe’s first original single, and she truly couldn’t have chosen a better single to introduce the world into her songwriting. She deserves a round of applause for this track and her courage to grow and heal her younger self.

‘Saturday’
The lead single for this project is much different from ‘Hollow,’ as it shows that we’re worthy of being loved, just like a protagonist in a fairytale. ‘Saturday’ is the dreamiest track from Greener Grass, and RoZe’s voice fits this sound so well. The chorus is so catchy that we’ve been singing it 24/7! We’re also big fans of its placement on the EP’s tracklist. We feel that it’s such a great shift in tone between the first two songs of the project, giving the hopeless romantic in us time to have fun and imagine what our future lover could make us feel. You’re worthy of feeling seen and loved!
The music video makes us love ‘Saturday’ even more! The colors are so vibrant, and RoZe’s smile makes us believe everything is possible. Plus, it introduces us to her beloved tarot cards, which she has posted on her website so everyone can get a closer look at Greener Grass and the message of each track. We hope she keeps doing this every time she releases new music!
‘Voices In My Head’
Have you ever felt like a song from your favorite album matches its artwork perfectly? That’s how we feel when we listen to ‘Voices In My Head!’ We love this song’s alt-pop aura and bass lines, and we think that it gives us that groovy vibe that RoZe’s been trying to show with this EP. That’s what we love the most about Greener Grass: the complete project tells a story, but every track by itself does, too. We’ve all dealt with the voices inside of us that try to control us, so what’s the best way to deal with them? Become their best friend! Don’t let them be the force that stops you from doing what you want! We’re big fans of ‘Voices In My Head,’ and it will be on repeat for a long time!
