2024 gave us a present we did not expect but definitely hoped for, for years. Members of one of our favorite K-Pop groups made a long-awaited reunion, and we are over the moon about it. Yes, we are talking about B.A.P, currently known as BANG&JUNG&YOO&MOON, and their newest release, CURTAIN CALL.
Needless to say, we’ll say it anyway, we were one of those fans who screamed in surprise, mixed with a lot of joy at this news. We’ve been counting the days until the comeback, and we don’t think we’re recovering any time soon. The guys were so generous as to drop one of their tracks as a pre-release, and while we thought that was what would get us emotional, we were partly wrong. We sobbed our eyes out when we first listened to CURTAIN CALL, especially while we watched the music video for ‘GONE.’
Listen to BANG&JUNG&YOO&MOON’s CURTAIN CALL here.

The Emotional State During ‘GONE’
From the main song’s title being ‘GONE,’ we already had a feeling the guys were cooking up something that would leave a strong impression on us. Starting with that soft melody that becomes more nostalgic, we can say we guessed it right. We only didn’t know just how emotional we’d be.
From the obvious elements like the sound, and the expressive lyrics, to the little things in the music video, ‘GONE’ is, simply put, a heartfelt experience. The amount of times we had to pull out the tissues in one single song was insane.
The video is a combination of seeing the four members hang out, have fun, catch up, and once again take on the stage together. In addition, the lyrics easily help us decipher the meaning behind BANG&JUNG&YOO&MOON’s song. ‘GONE’ is created to highlight the beautiful memories between the members and their fans, depicting them as everlasting.
If you watch the music video, you will notice a sign outside of a gas station stating, “We are closing down / Thank you for amazing 12 years,” and this is where we started losing it. B.A.P debuted in 2012, and 2024 celebrates 12 years since they entered the industry together. How can we not start sobbing right there and then? And if that wasn’t enough, the little pause on the song as it builds up, so they can talk about Youngjae’s upcoming part? We just knew it would hit hard, and it did. “Our love is not over” truly describes how we feel about this group.
Changing the setting, we are backstage with BANG&JUNG&YOO&MOON, watching them goof around and prepare to give a performance filled with a lot of emotions. Seeing the members support each other in small ways warms our hearts and, you guessed it, got us crying even harder. You probably wonder how we were able to watch this through all the tears. We have the same question, but we are sure you went through that exact same experience.
BANG&JUNG&YOO&MOON rocked that stage (as they did all their Lives of ‘GONE’), and we couldn’t be happier with this comeback.
Saying ‘Farewell’ To The Bad Days With CURTAIN CALL
We don’t know if this will be the last release of the members as a group or if we can see more in the future, but regardless, we will cherish both old and new drops. Favorite artists get us feeling things in ways no one else can.
CURTAIN CALL has plenty to offer outside of its title track. Every song is touching in its own special way, containing its own charms. The early dropped single ‘Farewell’ has a bright vibe to it, making us emotional (yet again) in all the good ways. With hope emitting from the lyrics, we can’t help but fall for this song. And as it also speaks of past hardships, we end up thinking back to the old times. Specifically, when the members released songs as a group and when they went their own paths with solo endeavors, and then circled back to this moment, releasing CURTAIN CALL as BANG&JUNG&YOO&MOON. ‘Farewell’ has to be one of our favorite side tracks from this release.
‘Love’ is a, well, love song that starts off the journey of this album. We think it clearly gives us an example of what we’re in for – impressive vocals and rap throughout CURTAIN CALL. Is it just us, or does every member shine so brightly in this one? We may have lost it once again at those high notes. ‘Stand it all’ is here to remind us that the members can tackle slower songs just as easily. Powerful and soothing vocals matched with a moving rap display another side of the group that we love seeing. Lastly, ‘Way Back’ ends the CURTAIN CALL with a seemingly gentle track, which transitions into a show of powerful vocals. We are in awe at the showcased talent. The altering of calm and exploding parts is simple perfection, and we couldn’t expect any less from BANG&JUNG&YOO&MOON.
After listening to and experiencing this comeback, we are convinced. ‘GONE,’ no, the whole CURTAIN CALL album was made for us: the fans who have been missing B.A.P’s music as a group. And we earnestly hope newer fans will enjoy this release a lot.
