The link between Kehlani and her opener FLO is palpable, as fans are already familiar with the British trio from their feature on Kehlani’s While We Wait 2 album. FLO, a British girl group, formed in 2019 and have been releasing hit single after hit single ever since. When FLO took the stage, a roar of cheer erupted and the fans immediately took out their phones to record memories. Their sound flows effortlessly from the essence of women-fronted groups from 90s R&B. It was both refreshing and felt timeless as they brought back the legacy of groups like TLC and SWV. They ended their set signing a few handmaid signs from the crowd. It was a performance that was one of kind and one we will remember for a long time.

Now to pause to take a moment for the icon, the legend, the moment, Kehlani. Their live set was an adept showcase to their Crash album, with most of the night dedicated to its tracks. We were also jamming out to the mix of songs from previous releases like ‘Toxic’ and ‘Gangsta’. Kehlani’s performance was both sexy and inviting, with an energy that drew the audience in, highlighting just how much her music resonates with her fans. We were pleasantly surprised with their stage setup – the illuminating blue and red lighting help frame Kehlani, her band, and her dancers perfectly.
Throughout the night, we kept noticing how there was an undeniable sense of trust between Kehlani and the crowd. It was as if their heartfelt performance manifested a shared connection between audience members. Pausing several times to ensure the safety of fans who passed out in the packed, nearly sold-out venue, reminded us of her care and dedication. Kehlani and her team delivered an unforgettable experience on their stop back in Boston – we are excitedly anticipating them to return back on the next tour.

As we ended the night with ‘After Hours,’ Kehlani left the crowd buzzing with energy and admiration.
