Our excitement was even stronger when we finally got our hands on the play button. And then, we were elevated as we experienced a captivating musical sensation.

Yes, as you expected, the first thing we have to do is put the title track in the spotlight. The album representative has a strong funky feel which we absolutely vibe with. AB6IX just hit right with their music, and with ‘NVKED,’ we truly get to experience the group’s strong colors through a fun and addictive song.

Absolutely obsessed, we keep replaying both the song and music video. ‘NVKED’ is living rent free in our heads, and we wouldn’t change it for anything. So it’s only appropriate that we’re now singing along to the whole song. What’s next? Following the lively choreography.. oh wait, we’re already doing that too. Simply put, we are experiencing high levels of joy from one single song. That’s the power of AB6IX.

AB6IX just have it in their veins and we have the perfect song in BORN LIKE THIS that flaunts it in the best way possible, ‘In My Vein.’ The group showcases confidence in its capabilities and we stand behind it. As the lyrics go, “I’m born to be a performer,” “Cause I am meant to be the hero on the stage,” “I was born like this / I just have it in my vein.” These are just some of our favorite lines. The whole song truly slays, and the level of confidence is just right. But the lyrics are not just bark, because the members defend that confidence with impressive vocals. ‘In My Vein’ has to be one of the top titles on our all-time AB6IX songs.

DAEHWI continues to show his talents of creating only the best for his group with yet a third song on BORN LIKE THIS. ‘Forever Young’ makes us want to jump and spin around as we let go of all our worries. We are simply melting into the sounds of this happy piece. Thinking back on memories from our youth or creating new ones as we go, this would be the ideal soundtrack.

We’re jumping onto the Latin rhythms through DONGHYUN‘s latest revealed piece, ‘Hurt Me.’ This also marks the second song on BORN LIKE THIS, aside from the title, which features WOOJIN taking part in the writing process. ‘Hurt Me’ surprises us once again, as DONGHYUN’s composing skills continue to bring out his immense versatility. The way he makes this such an upbeat and joyous-sounding piece, while the lyrics focus on strong feelings that prevail even in the face of deeply inflicted pain. Wonder what’s stronger: that love they sing about or the one we have for ‘Hurt Me?’

The album concludes with the beautiful ‘Butterfly Effect’ by WOONG. With the snippet making us expect something more of a ballad, the track took us by surprise with its more fast-paced transition. This is such an appealing piece with how it goes between gentle and upbeat, neither too much or too little, but rather complimenting each other. WOONG definitely gifted us yet another top-tier track that we are claiming as an instant favorite.
