2024 was a wild year for all the Carpenters out there! After years of building her music career, Sabrina Carpenter became a global phenomenon this year. She’s now one of the most important singers not only of this year, but of the decade. We are sure that at the beginning of the year, she sipped an ‘Espresso‘ and put all her energy into becoming iconic. Making the ’60s cool again with her aesthetic, dropping an album full of hits, performing on her first sold-out arena tour, and reaching many more achievements, Sabrina made this year feel Short n’ Sweet. Did you see what we did there? You know, the year was 365 days long but felt short? No? It was a good joke in our heads. Anyway, here’s Sabrina Carpenter’s 2024 Music Rewind!
The Eras Tour
At the beginning of the year, Sabrina continued to be an opener for Taylor Swift in The Eras Tour. In this, she performed worldwide, showing fans how talented she is. Making clever outros for ‘Nonsense’ and doing the iconic dance of ‘Feather,’ Sabrina made her time in The Eras Tour one to remember. We have to say, even though she finished her performances as an opener in March, the rest of the year was even better for her!
Isn’t That Sweet? ‘Espresso‘
Nobody saw how ‘Espresso’ would take over the world. The song was released in April, and since then, it has remained in our heads. As the first single from the Short n’ Sweet album, Sabrina unraveled the whole aesthetic of the record with the music video. Set on a beach with 1960s summer vibes, we can see Sabrina having fun in one of the best videos of the year. The song became her first Billboard 100 #1 and was the most listened-to song on Spotify this year!
Coachella Debut!
In April, Sabrina took over the Coachella stage. She sang ‘Espresso’ for the first time, and the public adored how it sounded live! Her performance went viral and gave us a small glimpse of what the album and her future tour would look like. Coachella was a great opportunity for Sabrina to show how versatile and creative she is in live performing. Also, we still talk about her ‘Lovefool’ cover…
Short n’ Sweet is a hit after hit

Even if you live under a rock, you know at least one song on this album. Produced by Jack Antofoff, Short n’ Sweet is Sabrina’s sixth album. Some artists, after having so many records, would become a repetitive act; however, this isn’t Sabrina’s case. In the record, we hear the ’80s influences in songs like ‘Please Please Please’ and ‘Bed Chem.’ Also, country and pop are among the many genres Sabrina performed in the album. The main topic is love in its various forms, from butterflies to heartbreak. The music videos for the singles are to die for since they are not only videos but stories that catch our attention.
With this album, Sabrina started her first sold-out arena tour: The Short n’ Sweet Tour. In the artist’s words, the show is live theater. The scenario is a ’60s apartment with a staircase, a bedroom, a bathroom, and everything a regular home has. The tour has become popular not only for Sabrina but also for its uniqueness, having comedy touches and breathtaking vocals. Oh, and she also arrests someone every single night! We wish it could be us! She performs songs like ‘Taste’ and ‘Decode’ while wearing outfits that are becoming fashion statements.
Nominated for Six GRAMMYs!
For the first time ever, Sabrina got nominated for not one, not two, but six GRAMMY’s. We have to say that after her long career and her talent, it’s about time she got recognized for it. Album of the Year for Short n’ Sweet and Song of the Year for ‘Please Please Please’ are just two of the six categories. We can’t wait to see her shine in the ceremony. Nonetheless, February seems so far away!
A Nonsense Christmas Special
Sabrina had her own Christmas special on Netflix to end the year with a glamorous but festive touch. With musical guests like Tyla and Chappell Roan, Sabrina performed not only her Christmas songs but also classical seasonal songs that we all know. Also, since she is not only a singer but an actress, she made comedy sketches among actors like Quinta Brunson. This was a clever move from Sabrina since it fits her aesthetic and personality. Also, she made us laugh while singing our hearts out!
What a music rewind for Sabrina! 2025 is just around the corner, and we know that Sabrina Carpenter will also make next year her own. We don’t know about future plans, but we hope to see her shine even more. 2024 will always be remembered with Sabrina’s music, making us dance, cry, and sing with all the hits she had this year.
