10 Of The Best Viral Songs Of 2024

If you’re anything like us, then you’re probably well aware of viral tracks, and there was a handful of them this year, but there were some that immediately stood out. 10, in fact, and they were from the artists that really made 2024 theirs, whether they’re from breakout albums, diss track(s), or TikTok trends; these songs each easily surpassed 1 million streams and are really good and catchy. ‘Apple’ – Charli xcx

Starting off our list is ‘Apple’ by Charli xcx, from her iconic BRAT album; if you follow us on our socials, you probably saw how it took over our lives. Like some of the other tracks on the list, it took over TikTok and even had its own dance that made its way over to her concerts. The track has garnered over 252 million streams on Spotify and 13 million views on YouTube. BRAT overall was just so good; it’s filled with 15 tracks and started a revolution as we got two other BRAT-like albums. But there were a couple of tracks that completely took over our playlists, FYP, and one of them was ‘Apple.’

‘BIRDS OF A FEATHER’ – Billie Eilish

‘BIRDS OF A FEATHER’ came from one of our favorite albums by Billie Eilish, and honestly, from the beginning, we knew that people would hang on to this track the most; it is an obvious standout from HIT ME HARD AND SOFT, besides ‘LUNCH’ of course. As of right now, the track has garnered over 1 billion streams on Spotify and 134 million views on YouTube. It has also been nominated for three GRAMMY awards. We don’t know a single year, since she came on the scene, that a Billie track didn’t go viral.

‘Espresso’ – Sabrina Carpenter

Sabrina Carpenter has had a handful of tracks, as well as concert looks to go viral, so we have to say 2024 really was a good year for Sabrina. Especially with ‘Espresso,’ which was one of those songs that you couldn’t escape from no matter which station you were listening to, and honestly, we love that for her. The track has garnered over 1 billion streams on Spotify, and 200 million views on YouTube. It came from her latest album, Short n’ Sweet, and many tracks from it have yet to leave our repeat playlists, especially ‘Good Graces.’

‘Good Luck, Babe!‘ – Chappell Roan

What a year it was for Chappell Roan; we honestly wanna even call it the year of Chappell. We wanna say that she thrived, but she did so much more than that. Especially with one of her most iconic tracks, ‘Good Luck, Babe!.’ This track, much like Chappell, was everywhere, and rightfully so; whether it was pre-recorded or live, it was simply the best. The track has garnered over 62 million views on YouTube and most recently has surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify. We know Chappell will more than likely also make our 2025 list next year.

‘Magnetic’ – ILLIT

We couldn’t make a list of the best viral songs of 2024 without including our girls, ILLIT. The group is the newest artist on the list as well, so big props to them. Their track ‘Magnetic’ moved way past just the K-POP market and made its way quickly over to the Western market, and like the others on this list, it was courtesy of TikTok, as practically every video on your FYP probably had it playing in the background because of the group’s sweet voices, and catchy tune. The track has garnered over 400 million streams on TikTok, and 179 million views on YouTube, which is huge for a group that just debuted this year!

‘My Love Mine All Mine‘ – Mitski

‘My Love Mine All Mine,’ we think, brought people back to Mitski, and brought her a bunch of new listeners as well. The track comes from her 2023 album The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We, but gained traction this year on TikTok, which gave us a lot of cute videos on our FYP’s. We honestly really loved that ‘My Love Mine All Mine,’ was the track that took off from the album. It has garnered over 1 billion streams on Spotify, and 61 million views on YouTube. We know her older fans love her older stuff especially, but if you loved that track, we honestly recommend you check out the rest of the album, especially ‘Heaven.’

‘NISSAN ALTIMA’ – Doechii

We were waiting for everyone to jump on the Doechii train because, honestly, she is an artist who is not to be messed with, and even Kendrick Lamar (who also made his way onto this list) agrees. And guess what? Her track ‘Nissan Altima’ did bring new eyes to her. The track has garnered over 30 million streams on Spotify, 3 million views on YouTube, and multiple TikTok videos. The track from her newest album, Alligator Bites Never Heal, which on it’s is so good, and while you’re at it, if you haven’t, check out Doechii on Tiny Desk, where she performed ‘Nissan Altima’ beautifully. We love people our age thriving.

‘Not Like Us‘ – Kendrick Lamar

Whether you’ve heard the whole thing, a snippet, or seen the memes, everyone’s heard ‘Not Like Us’ at least once since its release; it’s probably the most viral song on this list. It has garnered over 900 million streams on Spotify and 187 million views on YouTube and has stayed at the top of the Hip-Hop charts for weeks, continuously breaking records, all in the name of the diss game. Kendrick, Mustard, Soundwave, and Sean Momberger continue to show they are on top of the pen and producer game, especially with this being a follow-up of other viral diss tracks, ‘Euphoria,’ and ‘meet the grahams.’

‘Obsessed‘ – Olivia Rodrigo

To say we are ‘Obsessed’ with Olivia Rodrigo is an understatement, and we aren’t the only ones. Just this year alone, she has garnered over a million listens to her songs. And her pop-rock track has garnered over 200 million streams on Spotify, and the music video for the iconic song garnered over 22 million views! We can’t even blame people either because the looks in there were too good! But back to the track, it comes from the deluxe edition of Guts (Guts Spilled), which had a bunch of bangers, such as another Honey Pop favorite ‘Stranger.’ We honestly can’t wait to hear more pop-rock tracks from the singer.

‘Too Sweet’ – Hozier

This track came off of his Unheard EP, and it took off quickly on social media. ‘Too Sweet’ earned him 1 million streams on Spotify and 91 million views on YouTube. If this was the way people found Hozier, we wouldn’t even be mad because his Unreal Unearth album was filled with bangers and helped introduce people to his lyrical genius, like with ‘Damage Gets Done.’ What can we say about Hozier’s music besides that it’s just ‘Too Sweet?’
