Not a day has passed that we haven’t had Arm’s Length in our constant rotation. If you ask us, Never Before Seen, Never Again Found is a god-tier, no-skip album. We’ve been foaming at the mouth and ready for more since the day it dropped, but we try not to be too selfish. Today feels like Christmas all over again for us, however. The band not only released a brand new single but signed to a new label and announced a new album!
Arm’s Length sophomore album, There Is A Whole World Out There, is out everywhere on May 16th. And in proper Arm’s Length style, the band kicked off this new era with their banger of a single, ‘Funny Face.’ The track is the same kind of raw vulnerability we’ve come to expect and love from the group.
‘Funny Face’ is about how discouragement from a trusted loved one can shape who you are as a person and your overall outlook on life. It’s one of our darkest, heaviest tracks. Lyrically, I wanted to illustrate the narrative of being entangled in a toxic codependent relationship, whether romantic or familial. It’s a straightforward, desperate sounding song, sonically and lyrically. – Allen Steinberg

Arm’s Length really shows us that There Is A Whole World Out There as this album dives into deeper, more personal trauma and experiences from the band. This album was birthed from one of the darkest places lead singer and lyricist Allen Steinberg has ever been in. And sure, he wrote the songs for himself, but the band is sharing them with us. So, how lucky are we?
On a scale of 1-10, how excited are you for this new Arm’s Length era and ‘Funny Face?’ We’re very comfortable putting down a solid 570. Let us know how excited you are in the comments below! Or you can let us know on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook!
