Is there anything better than travelling back in time? We don’t think so. Let’s go back to the noughties to listen to some of the biggest hits that shaped generations. The Darkness is currently on tour across the UK, hitting some of its largest arenas. The Dream On Toast Tour soared through Guildford, and we were screaming, almost as loud as Justin can hit those high notes.

Opening the set with ‘Rock and Roll Party Cowboy’ was the way to go. Immediately spirits were high, energy levels were through the roof and everyone was dancing. We don’t think The Darkness have ever missed the mark with any of their songs. And that was easily proven by the strength of the setlist.
‘Growing on me,’ ‘Motorheart,’ ‘Love is Only a Feeling,’ and ‘Weekend in Rome,’ were some highlights, to name a few. Of course, they performed the fan favorite hit, the one that shot them into the charts, ‘I Believe in a Thing Called Love’ towards the end of the show.

From the get-go the show was immense. Justin even said Guildford was the show he was most excited for… despite the fact he said it the night before in Swansea too. We’re choosing to believe that the show we attended was truly his favorite.
The Darkness kept the show alive with little outfit changes, guitar changes, jumps and handstands. Honestly, it was very unpredictable and kept us on our toes the entire time. Even the lighting was curated in such a way to fit the vibe of every song.
The only thing that was missing was their iconic Christmas hit ‘Christmas Time’. However, due to the time of year, an understandable skip on the tour, we’re trying not to take it personally.
Let us know if you attended, or are going to attend this tour. We’re on Instagram, Twitter (X) and Facebook. You can try to take beans on toast away from these fine Englishmen, but you cannot take their Dreams on Toast Tour from them.
