Between you and me, we’re secretly famous DJs in our fantasy world. Although being a DJ is only a dream of ours, we make our own playlists all the time and force all of our honeybee friends to listen to them. Lately, we’ve been incorporating our favorite musical-sibling duo, Savannah and Brandon of BETWEEN FRIENDS, into our pre-game playlists.
If we were to design our very own DJ set using only songs by BETWEEN FRIENDS, here’s what it would look like…
‘DJ’
So obviously we had to start with the best choice. It’s only natural we start our set with ‘DJ’ and get the crowd hype. ‘DJ’ is BETWEEN FRIENDS’ latest drop, and when we first heard it, we knew it would become a staple on our playlist rotations. If Charli xcx, BROCKHAMPTON, and The Marias had a baby, it would be Savannah and Brandon. And if you love indie and dance music, we know you’ll love this song and the vibes of all of BETWEEN FRIENDS’ songs.
‘Eyes On My Baby’
Now that the crowd’s energy is up, we’re keeping the good vibes going. ‘Eyes On My Baby’ just may be our favorite BETWEEN FRIENDS song, and it gets us hype every time we hear it. During this part of our set, we need you to grab your “baby” and get to dancin’!
‘American B***h’
It’s time to slow it down just a bit… but the energy is still high in the hive! We’ll add our own remix to this song to make it a seamless transition. If you’re just getting into BETWEEN FRIENDS, this is a perfect song to start with, as it’s a pleaser to any music lover, from indie lovers to house music lovers.
‘Suburban Wonderland’
This bop will serve as our transition song. We absolutely adore the production on this track, so we’re taking our favorite synth moments to ease the crowd into the next few songs as any amazing DJ would.
‘Better Friends’
To close out our (very short) BETWEEN FRIENDS-inspired ‘DJ’ set, we’re enticing the crowd with ‘better friends.’ This is our moment to use strobe lights and insane visuals that we definitely (don’t) have the budget for. Up to this moment, the hive is fully buzzing around, and we’re ending the night on a high. ‘Better friends’ is all about choosing friends who you know you can party with all night—so grab your party animal besties and sweat it out!
