The Magic Fish By Trung Le Nguyen

If you’ve recently discovered your love for audiobooks with a full cast like us, then we recommend Trung Le Nguyen’s The Magic Fish! This graphic novel turned audiobook tells the story of a young Vietnamese teen named Tiến Phong navigating life through his love of fairy tales. He connects with his immigrant parents by reading his favorite stories. Tiến has been trying to find a way to come out as gay to his parents, only he can’t seem to find the right time or words. Lady Knight By Amalie Howard

Our next April audiobook is Amalie Howard’s Lady Knight. (Think Bridgerton meets Robinhood plus a whole lot of female empowerment.) Lady Knight is the second installment in The Diamonds, an anti-historical Regency romance series with a BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ cast. It follows Lady Zenobia “Zia” Osborn, the daughter of a duke who’s also part of the Lady Knights, a secret club of rebellious young ladies. Her routine escapades change when her brother’s best friend, the irritatingly charming Mr. Rafi Nasser, discovers her secrets.
