We Can Describe Everything About This Track With One Single Word…’Gnarly’

KATSEYE has had all eyes on them since the release of their debut track, ‘Debut,’ and they have been killing it ever since. And ‘Gnarly’ is no different.

You know how artists can perform a song, and you’re like, dang, this song was either made for them or was perfected by them, and in this moment, we think it’s both. ‘Gnarly’ is a song no one can hate, which is evident by the people who came around to really love it. Us, though, we loved the track from the beginning. Like come on guys, it’s so freaking catchy, and the way each girl sings their lines is too good, it’s so fluid that nothing seems forced. What isn’t there to like?

Everything’s ‘Gnarly’

Speaking of things we like, we are loving the lyrics! We know some of y’all clown them, but y’all, if you listen to the original or the clean version, both of them have so many good sound bites, and it all just makes sense if you actually listen to it. You’d get it if you listened to the first line, “They could describe everything with one single word / You know?” meaning it means two different things, good and bad. Just so no one is confused, anyway, moving on! We have a lot of new vocal stims because of the track. Like, we are obsessed with Lara’s verse “Making beats for a boring, dumb b**ch / F***ing gnarly (Gnarly) / Don’t talk to me / You’re gnarly, I’m not” no matter if it’s the clean version, they both just hit, it honestly really makes the song. Also, “Oh my god, this song’s so lit, congratulations” with the laugh after, it just seems like these girls had so much fun while recording the track, it’s giving us the same vibes as when you listen to Flo Milli. You know what we love more than the lyrics? The choreo, but specifically the performance. The group has literally perfected the confidence needed to make any performance of this song amazing. As we mentioned earlier, it seems like they are having so much fun that they put their all into the choreo every time. They’re dancing like rent is due, and don’t get us started on their facial expressions because every single member is killing it. They’re just so fun to watch, and how the girls perform makes everyone who watches them want to dance along and have fun. Plus, their outfits, nails, and hairstyles were just too cute.

The Future Of KATSEYE

The girls have put so much energy, charisma, and confidence into their recordings, as well as the performances themselves, that there is really no one beating them. No seriously! We see a very bright future for them. Speaking of the future, we just got news that KATSEYE will be releasing a new EP, June 27th, titled Beautiful Chaos. You know, this made us freak out because we are always excited to hear more KATSEYE, and if the styling is the same as they did for ‘GNARLY,’ we are even more excited.
