We are kicking off this week’s new music round-up with Gatlin, an artist we’ve loved since we first heard her track ‘What If I Love You’ back in 2021! Her latest offering, ‘If She Was A Boy,’ is an internal battle that many of us can relate to. It’s a tale as old as time: convincing yourself that the feelings you’re having aren’t real, and that they would be much stronger if it were with someone of the opposite sex. This is the process of many things culminating: religious guilt, societal pressures, familial pressures. It’s an experience that, by putting it to words, we already know Gatlin has made people feel less alone.

Zara Larsson – ‘Midnight Sun’
Mark our words, ‘Midnight Sun’ will be the track that finally makes the world wake up and realize that the pop star who can do it all that they’ve been begging for has existed in Zara Larsson all along! We, of course, have known that for years, but with the online love this track has been getting, it seems like everyone is following suit! ‘Midnight Sun’ is truly a pop masterclass, not just sonically, but also vocally and lyrically. It’s early Britney level of perfect.

Mae Muller – ‘In My Head’
‘In My Head’ does, quite literally, feel like Mae Muller got into our heads. Mae describes the feeling of spiraling deeper into overthinking tragically and beautifully. Living through the experience that Mae has penned makes you really feel each lyric, each repetition of “I hate it here.”

Nat & Alex Wolff – ‘If You Never Left Me’
If you haven’t listened to Nat & Alex’s music and know them solely from acting or from their earlier band, then allow ‘If You Never Left Me’ to be your introduction! We are fully convinced this track alone, from the instrumentation and the soft vocals to the lyrics, could turn anyone into a forever fan. As people who have been on board since day one, we are in dire need of a new full-length project to drown ourselves in.

Tanner Adell – ‘Snakeskin’
Tanner Adell is right there with the best of them, taking over the country music world, and it’s with good reason! Everything you want in a classic country song, from the storytelling to the twang, is all present in Tanner’s latest offering, ‘Snakeskin.’ ‘Snakeskin’ joins ‘Going Blonde’ as Tanner’s only releases of 2025, so we can’t wait to see what the rest of the year will bring us.
