Durry’s This Movie Sucks: A Must-Listen Album

This is not a drill! On June 27th, Durry released their new album, This Movie Sucks! We have been eagerly awaiting this, and we were not disappointed. Along with the album, a music video for one of the tracks, ‘Bully,’ was also released. Another movie-style video shot by the brother-sister duo, bringing back nostalgia with every shot. Austin Durry as “The Machine” and Taryn Durry as “The Enforcer” kick butt together, shouting the lyrics and having a good time, causing chaos while doing it.

This Movie Sucks is an album for the post-COVID world. We’re all fed up, tired of slaving away to make a living. There’s always something bad happening on the news, people seem to be meaner than ever, and the planet is starting to reject us. This album is an ode to all the negatives in life, and brings them to light in their humour and sharp wit. It’s an album you listen to when you feel like nobody understands how you feel. Durry has built itself on airing the struggles of life through good music, and this album tells a story of how to combat them. The album gives you an escape from the real world, a shoulder to cry on, something to relate to. We admire Durry for the courage they have for writing about these very real topics, and it makes their music all the more special.

Durry is set to go on a full headline tour this fall in the States, spanning twenty-four cities. They begin in their home town of Minneapolis, NM and finish in Indianapolis, IN. Tickets are on sale NOW!
