We always lose our minds over ATEEZ. No exceptions. And every time we think this is it, the one comeback, the one release that will prepare us for the rest to come. But of course, every time, we are SO wrong. It’s like we haven’t learned our lesson that these eight pirates will always exceed their previous work in some way. ATEEZ took it to another level once again with ‘In Your Fantasy,’ and we’re certain we have no sanity left after this one. So, we are seated in their fantasy like the good ATINY we are. Or are they in ours? Well, one thing is more than certain: the second statement is 100% the case.

Lost Your Sanity Yet?
ATEEZ’s ‘In Your Fantasy‘ takes us on a wild experience in a more mature and alluring setting. Moreover, the track is an all-English piece, meaning it easily reaches a wider audience. We can’t forget its Korean version either, making it double the fun. Now, is it too bold to say this comeback gave us WILDTEEZ? Because we don’t know how else to explain what we have witnessed. Our ears (and eyes) agree that they went all out with this concept. ATINY, how are you feeling? Still with us?
We would sit and talk about ‘In Your Fantasy’ lyrics, but then we’d have to mention every single line in it. ATEEZ made sure we’ll be losing it every second of that song, and honestly, we applaud them for the success. Focus? Absolutely lost, and at the same time, entirely on them and ‘In Your Fantasy.’ In fact, we were so distracted (can you blame us?) that we almost didn’t think about how the song fits into their lore.
We are still working on the theories, but we are pretty certain that the cube in Wooyoung’s hands has something to do with it. After all, that’s the moment color was lost, all but the monochrome shades and red. Speaking of red, did you notice how the members’ eyes were red after the cube was used? And all those people taking off their masks near the end. Is that the outcome from the “I’ll set you free from your sanity” part? Revealing one’s true self, their freest self? Or perhaps..
No, let’s hit pause. We can keep going, we can dive deeper and look into the connection with their previous music videos (and we are doing it). But for now, we’ll stop here, let you (and us) take a good look at the details, and think. Oh, that means we need to rewatch ‘In Your Fantasy’ even more closely? Well, if we must 😌
Solo Songs That Go Beyond Our Fantasies
The fantasy doesn’t end there. ATEEZ’s GOLDEN HOUR: Part.3 ‘In Your Fantasy Edition’ truly includes treat after treat. After we got to focus on their latest summer hit, ‘Lemon Drop,’ along with some great new group song additions, this repackaged album takes it up a notch and adds solo pieces to complete the track list. Not one, not two, but all eight members got to present us with their individuality through their solo music. We got to experience units back with THE WORLD EP.FIN: WILL, and we loved it. Now, we’re falling even more in love with each individual track and the members’ talents.
Hitting it off with the captain’s ‘NO1,’ we feel like we just entered the best club in town, hosting the hottest DJ out there: Hongjoong himself. Naturally, we feel so ready to party when this song kicks off. It’s the type of music that will get you lost in its rhythm. Our captain is truly one of a kind. Being hands on the creation of this EDM club piece, he is making sure this fantasy we got pulled into will be memorable, and oh, it really is in so many ways. But Hongjoong did not work only on his solo. He participated in most of the members’ tracks, and the result is remarkable. Not to mention, all of ATEEZ got involved with their respective songs.
We jump into Seonghwa‘s solo, ‘Skin,’ next. The song has this sensual vibe to it, with how his voice flows with this particular melody. We’re naturally drawn to ‘Skin’ and its attractive atmosphere, just as we are drawn to Seonghwa‘s charm. “I know that you want it.” We said and will keep saying it: this is a wild fantasy that ATEEZ created, and we’re excited to have stepped into it. Temptation, desire, allure. This is how we would describe ‘Skin;’ do you agree with us?
“Girl, I know what you need.” Yunho is right; he knew that we needed ‘Slide to Me’ in our lives, and we will be eternally grateful for it. The song feels so smooth, just like how Yunho looks whenever he is dancing. Add the funky rhythm that matches his playfulness, and his mesmerizing voice that never fails to make our hearts swoon, and you have the perfect track for our wild sunshine. ‘Slide to Me’ captivates all our senses, making us feel like we’re really in a fantasy of just us and the song, and the outer world does not exist at that moment.
Now hear us out on this next one! We feel like Yeosang‘s ‘Legacy’ is one of the biggest wins we got in this album. The song highlights his vocals so well, allowing his voice to shine and showcase its various tones in one single track. ‘Legacy’ gives off an epic rock vibe, and we believe it was a great choice to go in this direction for the solo. Yeosang is not just a pretty face and an absolutely great dancer. He’s also an incredibly talented vocalist, and he slays his solo with flying colors. We take any and all opportunities to hype just how good of a singer he is, and ‘Legacy’ strongly proves our point.
And we’re back to losing it all because of San’s lyrics in ‘Creep.’ Not just the lyrics, but the way his tone flows so smoothly, too…the power of a vocalist. Maybe we mentioned that for a lot of members, but we can’t help but be in complete awe at how talented each and every one of them is. We listen to ATEEZ so much, yet we always feel starstruck when we hear something new (or even some of the older, familiar tracks). And the fact that San’s ‘Creep’ is in English makes our jaws drop.
We transition into Mingi‘s impactful self-written piece, ‘ROAR.’ Part of us may have hoped to see ‘Tunnel’ or ‘Autobahn’ as his solo, so we could finally stream it on Spotify, but we are very satisfied with a brand new song as well! ‘ROAR’ brings out Mingi’s wild and more confident side, and we absolutely love seeing that. He also added his signature barking, and let us tell you, we went wild! And those lyrics? “They’re such a problem / They’re pure satire / They’re stuck in drama / They’re fake but viral.” How are we feeling? ‘ROAR’ captures praise and feeling proud of his groupmates and fans, but overall, it includes bold call-out lyrics. The power in this song is truly immense, and we can’t help but get extremely hyped every time we listen to it.
We can’t stress enough just how happy we are that we finally got Wooyoung‘s ‘Sagittarius’ released as part of GOLDEN HOUR: Part.3 ‘In Your Fantasy Edition.’ Ever since the song first dropped, we’ve been waiting and begging for the day we would be able to add it to our playlists and stream it. And now we can. Dreams truly do come true! ‘Sagittarius’ feels like Wooyoung‘s love song to ATINY, and it’s engraved into our hearts. We know how hard and tirelessly he and the members work. And we know just how much they love their fans. We feel it strongly through his solo, and we hope to keep bringing him the same encouraging energy that he himself always charges us with.
We knew we’d be emotional when Jongho‘s ‘To be your light’ came on. His powerful vocals always deliver, never failing to hit just the right way. He may have taken a different approach compared to the heartbreaking ‘Everything,’ but he definitely kept the emotions going. ‘To be your light’ feels like a warm yet strong, reassuring hug, the kind that makes you feel like everything will be ok. The kind that lets us know we’re not alone. Jongho, as well as ATEEZ, will always be our light. In the darkest of moments that we may experience, and even in the happiest or most ordinary ones, the members and their music will be with us, every step of the way.
All the ATEEZ solos are a pure celebration of each member’s distinctive and versatile vocals. GOLDEN HOUR: Part.3 ‘In Your Fantasy Edition’ lets us experience many styles through these individual pieces and tap into the members’ own worlds. It’s an album we will be holding very dear. We plan to stay seated in these ravishing fantasies. They really know what we like. So how can we even think about leaving?
