It’s a week to go until TXT release 7TH YEAR: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns, and our favorite part of any promo schedule has happened: the tracklist preview! Now we know the titles of each track, as well as gaining a bit of insight into what they’re going to sound like! April 13th can’t come soon enough.
As we’re sure many MOAs will agree, one of the very best things about TXT is their ability to sculpt a diverse range of genres to fit their sound. Taehyun once said that they want to make music that is “TXT genre” rather than fitting in any other boxes, and with every comeback, that dream becomes more and more realized. 7TH YEAR: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns clearly isn’t going to be an exception that!
Here are all the genres it looks like TXT will be exploring in this era, as well as key need-to-know info about the tracklist!
‘Bed of Thorns’
- Genre: Electronic, Electro-Pop, Synth Pop.
- Producers: Slow Rabbit, Hitman Bang.
‘Stick With You’
- Korean Title: 하루에 하루만 더 (literally ‘Just One More Day Per Day’).
- Genre: Electro-Pop, Techno, Techno Pop, and vintage 909 drums.
- Producers: Slow Rabbit, Jondren Hwang.
‘Take Me to Nirvana (featuring Vinida Weng).’
- Genre: Electro-Pop, Psychedelic Pop, House.
- Producers: Osrin.
- Featuring Artist Info: Vinida Weng (万妮达) is an incredibly exciting collaboration! Vinida Weng is known as “China’s Queen of Rap,” and her stage presence is out of this world. She’s known for having participated in several survival shows in China, and was a member of D.N.A. Music Alliance, the music collective founded by the one and only Lay Zhang. We highly recommend you check out some of her performances before 7TH YEAR: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns release day, and we’ve put our fave one here to get you started:
‘So What’
- Genre: Synth-Pop, Synth-Funk, Pop-Rap.
- Producers: Elkan, Kavin Smith, Maiz, PXPILLON.
- Member Credits: Taehyun is credited for lyric writing, and Yeonjun is credited for lyric writing and composing.
’21st Century Romance’
- Genre: R&B, Alternative R&B.
- Producers: Elof Loelv, Slow Rabbit, Maiz.
- Member Credits: Huening Kai is credited for composing the melody.
‘Dream of Mine’
- Korean Title: 다음의 다음 (literally ‘The Next Next.’)
- Genre: Alternative Pop, Electronic Pop.
- Producers: Dave Hamelin.
- Member Credits: Soobin is credited for lyric writing.
