Make art that you love and have fun doing it. Literally, who cares? That’s what artist Lauren Sanderson needs you to hear. Lauren’s latest self-titled album, LAUREN, is unapologetically her. It’s masculine, sassy, sexy, and utterly hot. Better yet, it actually might be her most authentic project yet. We caught up with Lauren to chat about the new album (stream it here!) and what it means to literally not give a sh**.

Releasing LAUREN
Thanks for being here in the hive, Lauren! To get us started, please introduce yourself to our readers with three words to describe your new album, LAUREN.
Hot, fun, real.
If someone reading this has never heard your music before, which song from your discography would you recommend they listen to first?
‘COME SAY SUM!!!!!!’
LAUREN dropped on May 29th! What can fans of yours expect from this new music?
If there’s one thing I can promise, there will be no better way to hear this album than to hear it live.
How does this new music allow you to dig deeper into your craft? How has the making of this album challenged you in your craft, if at all?
This album challenged my craft because it was the first time I had to take a step back and really create without thinking of anybody else. I was kind of just like, “What would I make if nobody else in the world would ever hear it?”
The last time we spoke to you, you told us that in your music, you want to portray both your soft and hard sides. How does LAUREN accomplish that?
I think it is accomplishing my dominant and submissive sides in a very different way than it did last time we talked! This era means no matter what I look like, I can be dominant and sassy and masculine and feminine and sweet all in one breath. I think before I was still really trying to find the different parts in me without feeling pressured by labels or outside opinions.
I’m a Capricorn, so I always want to accomplish a lot all of the time.

Without giving too much away, what is one song from this new project that you hope listeners gravitate towards?
‘Girls Night!!!’
Okay, quick fire!
Polka dots or cheetah print?
Cheetah print
Los Angeles or New York City?
New York
Night out or night in?
Night in
Thick black eyeliner or a pop of color?
Thick black eyeliner

The Future & Final Words
Let’s fast forward to December of 2026. What do you hope to accomplish in the 9 months left in this year?
Tour accomplished, EU/UK tour announced, opening for Limp Bizkit accomplished, I want to do another really insane collaboration, I want to do a sick feature for someone else. I want to have put out a deluxe album. I want to start booking festivals for 2027 by next year. I’m a Capricorn, so I always want to accomplish a lot all of the time.
