We’ve been saying this all year because it’s true: 2026 has been a phenomenal year for new albums! From Bruno Mars’ The Romantic to RAYE’s THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE., our favorite artists have been blessing us back to back with their full-length albums.
At THP, we firmly believe in playing an album top to bottom on the first listen. It gives us a chance to hear the artist’s story the way they intended. For now, we’re sharing five newly released and upcoming albums we’ve been obsessed with (or will be soon)!
Johnny Huynh – HEAVEN’S ON FIRE
To kick off our list of new albums, we wanted to highlight Johnny Huynh‘s debut album, HEAVEN’S ON FIRE! Released right at the end of May and AANHPI Heritage Month, this 13-track album is an explosive debut. It hooks us in with the title track, ‘HEAVEN’S ON FIRE,’ a song about a love that’s as passionate as it is potentially toxic. HEAVEN’S ON FIRE also features fan-favorite tracks released last year, such as ‘HELL ON ME,’ ‘LOCK ME OUT,’ and ‘ALL I SAW WAS YOU’ (feat. Jessica Baio).

Anderson .Paak – K-POPS!
Next, we have the iconic K-POPS!, Anderson .Paak’s star-studded soundtrack album. With 17 incredible songs, this album has music from and inspired by the K-POPS! feature film, which is also Anderson .Paak’s directorial debut. The soundtrack features legends such as JID, G-DRAGON, and Dean. We also get songs with aespa, NMIXX, Joshua of SEVENTEEN, Hongjoong of ATEEZ, and so many more! It’s rare to see our faves all on one album, but Anderson .Paak makes it look easy.

Faouzia – FILM NOIR (fin)
Now that we’ve gone through the newly released albums, we get to rave about upcoming albums! Faouzia has announced FILM NOIR (fin), the deluxe version of her debut album, FILM NOIR. It’s coming out next week on June 12, and Faouzia has already given us a sneak peek at the three new tracks with ‘BIRTHDAY.’ A beautiful ending to a beautiful debut, we can’t wait to hear what else she has in store. The deluxe album comes just before her FILM NOIR TOUR, which we’re hoping to catch by the time she makes it to the States.

MICO – When the lights turn on
The next upcoming album that we’ve been obsessing over is MICO‘s debut album, When the lights turn on. He’s released two tracks on the 10-track record so far: ‘DREAMBOY‘ and ‘Like you mean it.’ Set to release on June 26, we’re hoping for one more pre-release single. (Not that we need another reason to get even more excited for this album.) When the lights turn on comes just in time to make this summer the best we’ve ever had! Then we’ll carry that same energy into MICO’s Running From A Feeling Tour starting this fall.

Ellie Goulding – I Know Too Much
Wrapping up our list of newly released and highly anticipated albums is Ellie Goulding‘s I Know Too Much! Our favorite British pop artist is back to reclaim her top spot on our playlist. Ellie Goulding’s sixth studio album will release on September 4, and we can barely contain our excitement. Luckily, she’s just released the lead single, ‘Black Prada Dress,’ which we’re hoping will tide us over until then. This song is a breakup anthem for the ages, and we can already hear it soundtracking our summer.
